BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN’S NEVER-RELEASED ‘INYO’ BRINGS RICHLY-WOVEN BORDER TALES TO ‘TRACKS II: THE LOST ALBUMS’ (27 JUNE / SONY MUSIC)
LISTEN TO 'ADELITA' HERE

Bruce Springsteen’s latest preview of 'Tracks II: The Lost Albums' arrives today with 'Adelita', an ode to Mexico’s female “soldaderas” — who played a major role in the country’s fight for independence. Inspired to explore themes of this nature in the 1990s, during a series of motorcycle trips across the Southwest, Springsteen’s years in California saw him diving into both the history of the region (including “La Adelita,” the “corrido” that serves as this song’s namesake) and its contemporary events. “There was constant border reporting in the Los Angeles Times, so it was a big part of your life,” he remembered. The results appear for the first time on “Tracks II” as 'Inyo' — a previously-unheard, ten-song thematic collection set throughout the border states of California and Texas (plus one detour to New Jersey).
“‘Inyo’ was a record I wrote in California during long drives along the California aqueduct, up through Inyo County on my way to Yosemite or Death Valley,” recalled Springsteen. “I was enjoying that kind of writing so much. [On ‘The Ghost Of Tom Joad’ tour] I would go home to the hotel room at night and continue to write in that style because I thought I was going to follow up ‘The Ghost of Tom Joad’ with a similar record, but I didn’t. That’s where ‘Inyo’ came from. It’s one of my favorites.”
While primarily tracked as a solo record, “Inyo” does notably find Springsteen collaborating with mariachi musicians throughout — as heard on 'Adelita'. These musicians include Luis Villalobos, Alberto Villalobos, Angel Ramos, Humberto Manuel Flores Gutierrez, David Glukh, Jorge Espinosa and Miguel Ponce. Thematically, several songs on the record examine the Mexican diaspora, how border crossing between Mexico and the U.S. has affected generations and the cultural losses endured as a result. It’s a musical thread that Springsteen first began to examine by covering Ry Cooder’s “Across the Borderline” on his 1988 Tunnel of Love Express tour.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have recently kicked off The Land of Hope & Dreams Tour in Manchester and are set to perform two shows in Liverpool's Anfield Stadium this week. The band will play 16 European shows this summer for over 700,000 fans, the last leg of “one of the most successful tours of all time” (Pollstar) — “the greatest show on earth” (Billboard) and "a masterclass in the uplifting power of rock-and-roll" (Washington Post). UK SHOWS 2025

Justin Hayward: Amended Birmingham date, plus a new show in Brighton on ‘Forever Autumn’ Tour.

Justin Hayward, The Voice of the Moody Blues, will undertake The ‘Forever Autumn’ Tour of 11 venues in October and November 2025. The shows are on general sale now. Tickets available from ticketline.co.uk, ticketmaster.co.uk and the venues direct; the Birmingham date has moved to 3 November. Additionally, there will now be a further date at Brighton’s Theatre Royal on 2 November, promoted by JOY Concerts, tickets from https://www.axs.com/uk/events/997323/justin-hayward-tickets.
Justin Hayward says, “I always enjoy touring the UK. When I was in a local group in Swindon, we were offered a tour of the North of England and Scotland and I thought, ‘This is it - this is living”. British music - and British music fans - have a special place in the world of music, and I’m privileged that my songs are a part of that. The same goes for ‘Forever Autumn’. Wherever I go in the world people seem to know the song and associate it with my voice. It feels right to acknowledge ‘Forever Autumn’ this autumn.
“Mike, Julie, Karmen and myself are always trying to do something original and fresh, and thanks to guitar tech Josh , who has learnt exactly how to play my own acoustic parts on many songs, it means my beloved Gibson 335 electric guitar will be playing a bigger part in the show this year. Sharing songs that I have written, new and old, and playing many of them live for the first time on our 'Forever Autumn' 2025 tour will be a joy.”
Justin Hayward
OBE has enjoyed a career which is now in its fifth decade. The vocalist, lead guitarist and composer for the iconic Moody Blues, had hits including the masterful ‘Nights in White Satin’, ‘Tuesday Afternoon’, ‘Question’, ‘The Voice’ and the US top 40 hits ‘I Know You’re Out there Somewhere’ and In Your Wildest Dreams’: plus other classic, era and genre-defining hits. These laid the foundation for the incredible success story of the Moody Blues – as well as solo work.
Already established as a songwriter, he joined the Moody Blues in 1966. Hitting his stride with “Fly Me High,” he followed with ‘Nights in White Satin’ and ‘Tuesday Afternoon’ from seminal albumDays of Future Past. The Moody Blues sold 70 million albums worldwide, with 18 platinum and gold LPs. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
Justin created several solo albums such as Songwriter, Night Flight, Moving Mountains and ‘Classic Blue’ with Mike Batt, and The View From the Hill. He hit the Top Ten globally in 1978 with ‘Forever Autumn’ – created for Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds, he starred in its spectacular live production. His Spirits Of The Western Sky (2013) was followed by DVD ‘Spirits…Live’, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Video chart. All The Way followed - a compilation of solo work and live cuts. In 2020, Justin took to YouTube for the ‘Tuesday Afternoon Video Series’: this led to the digital album ‘Tuesday Afternoons: The Audio Files’. In 2021 he released ‘One Summer Day’ and ‘My Juliette’, and ‘Living For Love’ in 2022.
Justin spent much of 2023 and 2024 on the road - with several solo tours, along with two ‘On The Blue’ cruises, and a sell-out tour co-headlining in the USA with Christopher Cross. In September 2023, Justin was privileged to perform with the Athens State Symphony Orchestra at the Herodes Atticus historic amphitheatre in Athens, Greece. In 2024 Justin found time to make some new recordings, reuniting with The London Philharmonic Orchestra, for release this year.
The ‘Forever Autumn’ Tour 2025 represents a rare chance for Justin Hayward’s fans to connect with one of music’s keenest talents and to hear the music that he loves, presented with a truly personal touch. See also www.justinhayward.com

Orianthi’s new single "Attention” is released Friday May 16th and is available on all streaming platforms HERE.
Watch the official music video for “Attention” on YouTube HERE.
Though the lyrics of Orianthi’s latest fiery, kick-ass single “Attention,” exposes an annoying ex-lover’s habit of drunk texting to rile up her cooled passions, its title, on a deeper level makes us think about the kind of attention we’ve been paying to the singer/songwriter and virtuoso electric guitarist over the past 20 years. Seems nothing can ever be written about the multi-talented veteran artist without mentioning her collaborations with Alice Cooper, Dave Stewart and Richie Sambora, and the fact that Michael Jackson hired her for his London performances the year of his untimely death.
Equal “Attention” should also be paid to her success as an artist in her own right, starting with her Top 20 Billboard pop hit “According to You” and gold-selling Geffen album Believe, released in 2009. While playing with legends over the years, she’s continued to build her discography with numerous albums on different labels.
Her prolific streak of stylistically diverse singles in 2024 on Woodward Avenue – “First Time Blues” with Joe Bonamassa, “Ghost” and “Some Kind of Feeling” – launches a fresh, adventurous new phase of her solo career, an era of exciting creativity and powerhouse contemporary rock and roll.

Penned by Orianthi, Don Miggs and Gregory Hanson, “Attention” is a classic styled power rocker that marks her second track produced and mixed by the legendary Kevin “The Caveman” Shirley, whose surreally extensive resume includes Bonamassa, Journey, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Dream Theater and countless artists from his home country of South Africa and his later adopted home of Australia.
After an edgy, rhythmic electric guitar intro, Orianthi uses her silky, sultry vocal tone to bring us into a compelling scenario where she’s free from a complicated relationship and living life on her own terms now: “I ain’t at the Whisky/Waiting on you/Or staring at the ceiling/Sitting in a hotel room…” Then the groove, propelled by bassist Justin Andres and drummer Demian Arriaga, kicks up, and over more rhythmic, crunchy guitar energy, she tells her former significant other, “I’m sipping on tequila/With someone you knew/And you’re out on tour/Doing what you always do.” She doesn’t specify, but it feels like code for “screwing around like you did on me.”
As the track develops, Orianthi’s increasingly emotional vocals convey frustration and exasperation, then everything explodes on the killer hook where she really lets the guy have it: “You’re so predictable/You do it every time/Drunk checking on me/In the middle of the night/You know what you put me through/U just want attention.” She wraps the chorus with the mic drop line: “I’m done thinking about you,” which is followed by a cool melodic earworm of wordless background vocals.
After some clever wordplay in the second verse (“Ambien and alcohol/Swearing I’m the love of your life”) and another romp through the high-octane chorus (where he repeats “I’m done thinking about you” a few times for good measure, Orianthi gets to the magic that every fan waits for – her blazing solo action. It’s 30 seconds of wild abandon, pure hyperkinetic rock and roll bliss, an effortless fire with a blaze of high notes that allows her to say with her axe something deeper that even the biting lyrics can’t: I’m so over you! “Attention” is best appreciated via its dynamic performance video, which shows a few close ups of her intricate guitarisma. After another run through the hook, Orianthi repeats “I’m done thinking about you” over and over as her guitar wails behind her vocals for heavier emphasis.
With every new single, Orianthi reminds us that she’s at the top of her game in every way, finding fresh, vulnerable yet attitude-filled musical stories to tell, and allowing us to experience the guitar chops that have made her a modern-day rock hero.

THE COMMONERS: LIVE IN THE UK

“My God, this is a Canadian band so good that Trump is probably
trying to find a way to pretend they’re from America.”
“The Commoners, a band showing no fear, as they release a
live album to end all live albums.” – Planet Mosh, 5-Stars
Today, Canadian Roots-Rock band The Commoners have released their new album The Commoners - Live in the UK to coincide with their UK and European tour.
Riding high off the strength of their previous releases, Find A Better Way and Restless, the UK and European tour takes in a four-week tour across five countries, The Commoners: Live In The UK was recorded when the band were on tour in the UK in 2024. Released by Gypsy Soul Records, the album is available on CD and vinyl HERE, and digital HERE.
“The UK has become a second home for us,” says the Commoners bassist, Ben Spiller. “Over the last couple of years, we have had the pleasure of rocking dozens of shows over the course of 4 UK tours. Every time we head back things get bigger and better. On our last run through the UK with The Sheepdogs, we had the idea to record a few of our final shows. The recordings sounded huge, and we immediately knew we had to do something with them.”
Mixed and mastered by The Commoners’ lead guitarist Ross Hayes Citrullo at RHC Music in Toronto, this album features nine tracks from the Find A Better Way and Restless albums, featuring extended intros, outros, solos, and brand new never-before-heard parts of the songs.
“This album means a lot to the band because what you hear is 100% authentically us,” says Citrullo. “It’s the true Commoners live show experience, captured from the perspective of a fan in the crowd. It’s loose, heavy, and full of energy. We were wrapping up a long tour when we recorded this… the band was riding high. You can feel the energy in the room, it’s electric.”
The first single from taken from the live album, “The Way I Am,” is available to stream HERE.

"Push Puppets know how to make music that is vaguely familiar and brilliantly original; songs that already feel like classics... the honest and relatable lyrics makes you think of the best of Difford or Tilbrook’s post-Squeeze creations" ~ Big Takeover Magazine
"Meticulously crafted soundscapes recalling the infectious hooks of Fastball, clever lyrical turns of Ben Folds Five, the shimmering polish of Gin Blossoms... a clear understanding how to construct compelling musical moments" ~ The Spill Magazine
"Melodic rock with a philosophical, optimistic message... a warm, radio-friendly sound... the string quartet contributes an extra dimension to the song’s dramatic effect" ~ Skylight Webzine
"The perfect balance between accessibility and pop sensibilities to create a dynamic that feels both engaging and introspective... Effortlessly blending catchy melodies with heartfelt emotion, Push Puppets marks another impressive chapter in their evolving sound" ~ Music-News.com
Chicago indie pop-rock outfit Push Puppets presents their new dynamic and multifaceted album 'Tethered Together', their fourth to date, released via Flowering Tree Music.
The creative outlet for singer-songwriter and guitarist Erich Specht, Push Puppets creates songs with earworm melodies and shiny production that belie often-bittersweet sentiments. Specht (lead vocals, guitar) is joined by a core of Steve Frisbie (backup vocals, guitar), Kyle Magnusson (keyboards), John William Lauler (bass) and Greg Essig (drums). Most of the songs on this album also involve a string quartet, with a horn section on one.
"This album offers a nod to the artistic excesses of the 70s, whether it's a wall of phased vocals or a moment where guitars and strings rip a quick line together between phrases. The tracks are widely varied yet cohesive - and within a given song, you're likely to be taken elsewhere," says Erich Specht.
‘Tethered Together’ was produced by Doug McBride (Smashing Pumpkins, Veruca Salt, Silversun Pickups, Cheap Trick) and Erich Specht, this album being mixed and mastered by Doug McBride at Gravity Studios in Chicago.
Push Puppets also introduce a new video for 'Hearts Aren’t Souvenirs', a genre-bending tune about holding on to a relationship too long. Stylistically it’s hard to place, having traits of Americana with a funky Memphis-style bass line in an absolute earworm of a chorus and a rocking bridge that takes it somewhere else entirely. Whatever it is, it’s done with authority as songwriter Erich Specht explores many angles that serve the subject matter.
Depicting human hearts from past relationships being added to a collection, this video was edited and animated by Metamorse Studio and produced by Scott Thiele and Sebastian Gonzales. This team also realized the videos for ‘Similar’ and 'All Together On 3' with the band joined by a string quartet, comprised of Stephanie “Sly” Young on violin, Katherine Andrick on viola, Molly Rife on cello and Kelly Jozwiak on violin (note: Janis Sakai performs in the audio recording).
This record is graced with impeccable songwriting that shines with lush harmonies, angular guitars, dramatic keyboards and strings backed by a smoking rhythm section. Erich Specht muses on relationships and loss, as well as the weight and joy of life, in a manner that is poetic and seems effortless, his lyrics fitting to the melody like pieces of a puzzle. Wearing his vulnerabilities like a badge of honor, this music takes us on a journey to unexpected places.
Erich Specht shares, "Our music is not about a genre or a particular fashionable sound. We're slaves to the song and try to allow it to reach its potential with no regard for how it fits the style of the time. While we certainly build upon our influences, we are happiest exporing new territory. think when you set out to make a song complicated, it can sound contrived. I love it when I chase a part I'm imagining that happens gracefully, and then I discover that there's something weird about it."
Kicking off with the arena-rocking anthem ‘Similar', which explores universal connections, and 'Hearts Aren’t Souvenirs', 'Probably' offers a poignant tribute with a dramatic string-laden conclusion. The superb 'All Together On 3' builds progressively to a cathartic blend of live strings and desperate vocals, highlighting the strength found in unity.
The album continues its sonic journey with the dramatic and evolving 'Launching a Satellite', culminating in a striking interplay between strings and electric guitar. 'This Whole Endeavor' hooks the listener with a memorable piano riff while recounting the ebb and flow of a past relationship. A lighthearted interlude arrives with the retro rocker 'Tell Colleen to Calm Down', followed by the Spanish-tinged inhibition-shedding 'Shake It Like You Mean It'. The album delves into the pain of lost love in the Americana-influenced 'Hearts Are Fragile' before reaching a powerful and dramatic conclusion with 'The Logical Conclusion', driven by intense strings and piano.
On May 16, the 'Tethered Together' album is available on CD, digitally on fine digital platforms, and can be obtained in either format directly from the artist via Bandcamp. Push Puppets' album release show will take place at Robert's Westside in Forest Park, IL on May 30.

12-SONG COLLECTION ARRIVES JUNE 27, AS ONE OF 7 UNRELEASED FULL-LENGTHS AVAILABLE ON ‘TRACKS II: THE LOST ALBUMS’ (SONY MUSIC)

Bruce Springsteen will release “Somewhere North of Nashville” in full on “Tracks II: The Lost Albums” (out June 27 via Sony Music), a previously-unheard collection inspired by the sounds of honky tonk, rockabilly and uptempo country. Recorded simultaneously with “The Ghost of Tom Joad” in the summer of 1995, “Somewhere North of Nashville” features much of the core band at the heart of those sessions — including Danny Federici, Garry Tallent and Gary Mallaber. Adding elements like pedal steel from Marty Rifkin (later a member of The Sessions Band) and fiddle from Soozie Tyrell, “Somewhere North Of Nashville” would ultimately mark Springsteen’s first time cutting material live in the studio, with a full band, since “Born In The U.S.A.”
“What happened was I wrote all these country songs at the same time I wrote ‘The Ghost of Tom Joad.’ Those sessions completely overlap each other. I’m singing ‘Repo Man’ in the afternoon and ‘The Line’ at night. So the country record got made right along with ‘The Ghost of Tom Joad,’” Springsteen recalled. “‘Streets of Philadelphia’ got me connected to my socially conscious or topical songwriting. So that’s where ‘The Ghost of Tom Joad’ came from. But at the same time I had this country streak that was also running through those sessions and I ended up making a country record on the side.”

In addition to the release of 'Repo Man', Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band kicked off The Land of Hope & Dreams Tour in Manchester, England last week. The first of 16 scheduled dates this summer to over 700,000 fans, the 2025 European run will conclude “one of the most successful tours of all time” (Pollstar) — which has been called “the greatest show on earth” (Billboard) and "a masterclass in the uplifting power of rock-and-roll" (Washington Post).
