Jan Akkerman in a live setting is a beautiful thing to behold, and on his new record, 'My Focus - Live Under the Rainbow,' you can absorb his technical mastery and tone, where it was born to live - on stage. The live album will be released on 12 December via Artone/Music Theories Recordings and will be available on blue transparent vinyl, CD, and digitally. To whet your appetite, listen to the first cut taken from the album with "Answers Questions - Questions Answers."
Live music needs to offer you something that you cannot get on a studio recording. It's the sense of freedom and intimacy, wondering how the songs will be played and what the reaction will be. Live concerts give you the tingle where the hair stands up on the back of your neck. "Live audiences give you the tension and responsibility to be creative, for me that's the challenge I like," says the iconic Dutch guitarist. After all of these years, you ponder what keeps Jan going out there, night after night. "It's my love to play for people all around the world," he smiles.
The supremely gifted guitarist is equalled by very few, and his legendary ability makes him impossible to pigeonhole. His position as Dutch royalty has been cemented; he received the Golden Harp Award in early 2005, Holland's most prestigious music prize, and in 2012, he was appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau. This royal honour recognised his contributions to Dutch music and his influence on musicians worldwide.
Akkerman was a founding member of Focus from 1969 to 1976, where he recorded several breakout albums, including 'Focus II/Moving Waves' (1971). The album spawned the mega-hit 'Hocus Pocus' which reached #9 on the US Billboard Chart, #12 in The Netherlands and #20 in the UK singles chart and the song has gone on to appear on numerous TV shows such as; Top Gear, Skins, Supernatural, Vinyl, My Name is Earl and Shameless as well as the 2007 film Hot Fuzz, 2014 remake of Robocop and 2017s Baby Driver. The song has been covered by several other artists, including Iron Maiden, Marillion, Helloween, Gary Hoey, The Vandals and Vanessa-Mae. 'Focus 3' (1972) featured another hit single, 'Sylvia', which reached #4 in the UK singles chart and led to appearances on The Old Grey Whistle Test and Top of the Pops. That year, Melody Maker declared him the 'Best guitarist in the world', above Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page.
My Focus - Live Under The Rainbow was recorded across Akkerman's 2025 February tour, with his band,Marijn van den Berg (Drums), David de Marez Oyens (Bass) and Coen Molenaar (Keys)as they played Bush Hall (London), The Fire Station (Sunderland), Philharmonic Hall (Liverpool), Oran Mor (Glasgow), The Met (Bury), The Stables (Wavendon), and The Apex (Bury St. Edmunds).
The album journeys through his timeless work with Focus - from the first song released from this release, "Answers Questions - Questions Answers", through to the mega-hits, "Hocus Pocus," "Sylvia", "Focus I" and "Focus II" - songs that are still close to his heart. "I play these songs because my soul and heart are in there. It's a God given talent I have, which makes me feel proud of myself!" he says.
His incredible solo work stands tall amongst these giants, with "Piétons," taken from 1983's 'Can't Stand Noise,' along with outings from his 2019 solo album, 'Close Beauty,' in "Tommy's Anniversary" and the opening of the recording, "Spiritual Privacy."
Longtime fans of Akkerman concerts might recognise moments such as "Palace of the King" and "Big Sur" from his live repertoire. "I made a totally different concept of the song from the old Focus days, but it still has that 3/4 feel, which I happen to like," he explains. "Big Sur came from a novel I bought byJack Kerouac. Big Sur is devastatingly honest, painful, and yet beautifully written. He was sharing his pain and suffering with the reader in the same way Dostoyevsky did, with the idea of salvation through suffering."
He has collaborated with a number of musicians including Alan Price (The Animals), Jack Bruce and Ice T and counts fans in Brian May who said Akkerman was "totally a hero of mine, there are some people in life that no matter how old you are, you feel nervous if you meet someone, he's one of those, he's a real role model". The late-great B.B. King has also talked highly of him, saying, "How can you forget a guy like Jan. Usually with people that are as great as he is, you know of them, but you don't always get to know them or their music, but you know their reputation. The nights that we played together were great, I wish I could play the things that he did." Whilst Yes guitarist Peter Banks has also lauded him, calling him "an almost perfectly formed musician, his classical playing was tremendous. His improvising was second to none."
There is something about instrumental music that can connect with people worldwide. "A friend of mine made a remark in a song that says, 'Words are made to lie!'" he ponders with a wry smile.
Put on My Focus - Live Under The Rainbow and soak up the atmosphere of one of the world's most gifted guitarists.

"Kilguss artfully pulls us into her wistful nostalgia with a bit of twang and a strummy, well arranged instrumental accompaniment" ~ Guitar World
"Finely-wrought, deep, dark valentine... well-crafted” ~ American Songwriter
“Artfully beautiful, full of radiant harmonics, stylish rhythms, and Jessie Kilguss’ enchantress-like tones. Imaginative and numinous" ~ Seattle Post-Intelligencer
"Fluid and poised. Flawless lyrical and melodic aesthetic relays uncompromising emotion" ~ The Aquarian
Songstress Jessie Kilguss, a name whispered with reverence in deep-cut New York songwriting circles, has released her new album 'They Have A Howard Johnson's There'. Never one to shy away from the cinematic or the deeply literary, on this sixth album, she drives her classic vintage automobile straight into the heart of American mythology, albeit with European art-house sensibility.
Kilguss isn't just making music; she's collecting fragments of the past and stitching them into a luminous, deeply felt present. This album is a powerful collection that's steeped in sweet nostalgia, divine inspiration and sophistication. A masterclass in mood, this is a sonic exploration where poetic introspection and light-filled melodies intersect with folk-laced resignation.
The near-title track, 'Howard Johnson's', is a stroke of lyrical genius—a beautiful, melancholic tribute to her late father, Howard, name-checked in a surreal line by Al Pacino in the movie 'Dog Day Afternoon' ("I’ll charter a plane to Algeria. They have a Howard Johnson’s there"). The whole project is defined by a clever, layered nostalgia, as reflected in the era-inspired video by Deborah Magocsi. Kilguss crafts a sonic space that’s both intimately personal and universally resonant, proving that sometimes, the greatest stories can be found in the most unlikely places.
"This is a collection of songs I’ve written over the past few years, most being inspired, at least in part, by a book (Elena Ferrante’s 'The Lost Daughter & Neapolitan Quartet'), a movie ('Dog Day Afternoon') or a work of art ('The Ecstasy of St Teresa'). The title comes from a line in the song 'Howard Johnson’s', which is a roundabout tribute to my father Howard, who passed away in 2023," says Jessie Kilguss.
Charlie Nieland (Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie, Scissor Sisters), who engineered, produced, mixed and mastered this album at Saturation Point Studios in Brooklyn, brings a nuanced touch, building from a simple guitar and voice into something far grander.
Kilguss says, "I’ve been working on this album for the past year with producer Charlie Nieland, with whom I have been collaborating since 2007. We started every track with just voice and guitar and built them out from there. Previously, I’ve always gone into the studio with my band to record. This was an interesting way to work as we deconstructed each song and then put them back together.."
This album also involves heavy-hitters like Kirk Schoenherr (Tegan and Sara, Elle King, Chet Faker),
John Kengla (David Byrne, Ben Kweller, Serena Ryder), Andrea Longato (Duncan Sheik, Jeremy Jordan), Rob Heath (Madison Square Gardeners, Julia Nunes), Dave Derby (The Dambuilders, Gramercy Arms, Lloyd Cole) and Rembert Block (Rembert and the Basic Goodness).
'St. Teresa in Ecstasy' (and its beautiful video, created by Alex Dar) is a divine, slow-burn revelation, inspired by Bernini's dramatic sculpture and the dizzying feeling of being utterly overwhelmed by art or even something celestial. understands the power of great moments, and this song is pure, dramatic and full of radiant harmonics. 'Fool's Fight' rounds out an album that flows seamlessly.
A fine cartographer of this emotional landscape, Kilguss is a former actress who cut her teeth working with titans like Daniel Day Lewis and Winona Ryder on 'The Crucible', as well as Marianne Faithfull and Mary Margaret O'Hara in the Tom Waits / William Burroughs musical 'The Black Rider',
Apart from her own music, Kilguss also sings with Gramercy Arms, the Loser’s Lounge, Jim Andralis and the Syntonics and Benjamin Cartel. She has performed at the Sundance Film Festival and with Freddie Stevenson, touring with The Waterboys' for their European tour. In summer 2025, Kilguss was an artist in residence at Fish Factory Creative Center in Stodvarfjordur, Iceland.
Kilguss' 2022 album 'What Do Whales Dream About at Night?' LP features drummer Brian Griffin (Patti Smith, Brandi Carlisle, Lana Del Rey), bassist Whynot Jansveld (The Wallflowers), composer-producer Naren Rauch, and Nathan Schram (Bjork, David Crosby, David Byrne), with whom Kilguss ran the non-profit organization Musicambia.
'They Have A Howard Johnson's There' is out everywhere digitally, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp.

Joe Jackson: UK Tour on sale NOW.
Joe Jackson
UK Tour dates and new studio album
Joe Jackson and his band will perform 7 UK dates in September / October 2026, tickets are on sale NOW. These shows will feature work from throughout Joe Jackson’s remarkable career, and also celebrate the release of his new album Hope and Fury, which will be released worldwide on 10 April 2026. The UK dates follow a major North American tour running from May to July 2026. In total, the Grammy-winning artist will perform more than 80 shows across 14 countries. Tickets are available from https://www.aegpresents.co.uk/event/joe-jackson/.
“Hello cruel world / I’m not going away / So I might as well have my say”, sings Joe Jackson on his new album, and there's no doubt that at a point when many of his contemporaries have lost their passion, their talent, their voices or even their lives, Jackson goes from strength to strength. Hope and Fury might, in fact, just be his best album yet.
Though often depicted as a chameleonic artist who constantly “changes his style,” Jackson insists that most of his albums are in “his own mainstream” — collections of sophisticated pop songs, using different kinds of rhythms and combinations of instruments. At the same time, Jackson reserves the right to step away from that mainstream. As he said in a rare recent interview for the UK’s Chap magazine, “I always knew I was in this music thing for life. So every now and again I’m going to do something different, to keep it interesting.” Jackson's most recent “sidestep”, Mr. Joe Jackson presents Max Champion in ‘What A Racket!’ saw him hilariously channelling a forgotten Music Hall entertainer from Edwardian England.
Hope and Fury returns to the present, and the “JJ mainstream”, with nine strong new songs. After laying the groundwork for the album in Michael Tibes’ Fuzz Factory studio in Berlin, Jackson returned to New York’s Reservoir Studios with co-producer Patrick Dillett and assembled his on-and-off band since 2016 — “bassist for life” Graham Maby, guitarist Teddy Kumpel, and drummer Doug Yowell — augmented by the Latin percussion of Peruvian native Paulo Stagnaro. The result might strike a fan as a cross between 2019’s Fool, 1991’s Laughter and Lust, and 1982’s Night and Day.
Like those albums, Hope and Fury overflows with great tunes, clever and original lyrics, and funky grooves, with Jackson’s vocals and keyboard playing as strong as, if not stronger than, they’ve ever been. In keeping with the title (an ironic twist on Land of Hope and Glory), this is a more English Joe Jackson than we’ve seen for quite a while (the Max Champion influence, perhaps?), with some songs suggesting a love/hate relationship with his homeland.
Opening track Welcome to Burning-By-Sea describes a fictional seaside town inspired by Brighton and Jackson’s hometown Portsmouth but turns out to be a microcosm of the whole country, while End of the Pier ingeniously contrasts a slice of British working-class life in 1922 with a post-pandemic version in 2022.
For that matter, this is an album full of contrasts, but it’s mostly upbeat, with the trademark JJ humour much in evidence: from biting sarcasm in I’m Not Sorry and playful mockery in Fabulous People to pure silliness in Do Do Do. In The Face, an Everyman character finds himself lost in an angry and polarized political climate: “Not one of the Great Unwashed” but “One of the Great Overwhelmed.” Two other songs are in Jackson’s oft-cited “bittersweet” melodic mode: Made God Laugh expresses a kind of happy, grown-up fatalism about life in general, while After All This Time is a similar take on a long-term relationship. The album also follows a Joe Jackson tradition by ending with a slow ballad — this time one of his most beautiful, See You In September.
Joe Jackson is definitely not going away. Dividing his time between New York City and Portsmouth UK, Jackson describes himself as “bicoastal” both geographically and musically — and Hope and Fury as Bicoastal LatinJazzFunkRock. These UK dates are a great chance for his UK fans to witness a truly important, and always compelling, artist at work.

Steve “H” Hogarth: New release “SPQR” finds Marillion frontman in a uniquely intimate and atmospheric setting.
Eight years after his last live show in the city, Steve “H” Hogarth returned to Rome. For the recording of “SPQR”, he, once again, was accompanied by Italian band RanestRane, who provided acoustic instrumentation with harp, mandolin, harmonium and tablas. For this show, reimagining Marillion classics and solo material through cinematic arrangements, they were also joined by the Flowing Chords choir.
Recorded on February 3, 2024, at Rome’s Sala Sinopoli, H said at the time: “It’s with great pleasure that I can announce a return to Rome on Saturday 3 February 2024, to make another show – solo, and accompanied by local Romans, RanestRane, in an attempt to revisit the chemistry we had together last time in September 2015.” Furthermore he states: “In England we have a saying ‘When in Rome… find yourself an amazing Italian band and gig with them’.”
Available for retail for the first time on 2CD+Blu-ray, and Black 3LP Gatefold, “SPQR” offers the full concert experience, including songs such as “Thank You Whoever You Are,” “Afraid of Sunlight,” “Estonia” and “Go!,” alongside renditions of The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” or Leonard Cohen’s “Famous Blue Raincoat”. It’s a love letter to Rome and an unforgettable journey for fans everywhere.
It‘s an intimate moment when Steve Hogarth delivers Leonard Cohen’s “Famous Blue Raincoat”. Stripped of all embellishment, Hogarth’s tender piano playing and deeply expressive vocals bring a new dimension to Cohen’s story of regret, longing, and quiet confession. Every note and lyric is infused with emotional nuance, creating a performance that is both haunting and profoundly personal.
Steve Hogarth is best known as the charismatic frontman and lyricist of legendary British band Marillion. Renowned for his expressive voice, poetic lyrics and emotional performances, Hogarth has helped shape the band’s evolution into one of the most enduring and respected acts in progressive rock.
Outside Marillion, Steve has carved out a rich solo career that allows him to explore music in a more personal, cinematic way. His solo releases and collaborations, including projects with Richard Barbieri and the Italian progressive band RanestRane, reveal his gift for storytelling and atmosphere, blending rock, classical, and ambient influences with emotional honesty. Hogarth is celebrated for his ability to connect deeply with audiences, whether on grand stages or in stripped-down, acoustic settings. His songwriting often examines love, loss, spirituality and human resilience, delivered through a voice that remains one of the most unique and emotive in modern rock.

Alastair Greene - New EP - Live in Sin City via Ruf Records OUT NOW.

Joe Bonamassa returns with B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100, Vol. III, the next five songs from the landmark tribute project honoring what would have been B.B. King’s 100th birthday. Out today via KTBA Records, this new volume features five inspired collaborations that capture the spirit, range, and legacy of the King of the Blues: “Sweet Little Angel” feat. Buddy Guy, “Don’t You Want A Man Like Me” feat. Larkin Poe, “Heartbreaker” feat. Trombone Shorty & Eric Gales, “Watch Yourself” feat. Jimmie Vaughan, and “When It All Comes Down (I’ll Still Be Around)” feat. Larry McCray.
Today, Bonamassa also revealed details for one of the project’s most anticipated collaborations – “The Thrill Is Gone,” featuringChaka Khan and Eric Clapton. The pairing of the powerhouse vocalist and guitar legend marks a historic moment within B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100, bringing together two of the most influential artists ever to interpret King’s timeless classic. The track will be released with the full album on February 6th.
Leading theVol. III release is “Sweet Little Angel” featuring Buddy Guy, paired with a new music video that interweaves archival and live footage of B.B. King and Buddy performing – a poignant celebration of their friendship and shared musical lineage. “Buddy Guy is obviously the first call you make when putting this project together, and ‘Sweet Little Angel’ was his preferred song,” says co-producer Josh Smith. “This take shows you why Buddy is the living legend he is. Our most important living blues artist. In regards to the track, both Buddy’s vocal and guitar playing are from the same live track. No messing around, old school. The Real Deal indeed!!!”
“Don’t You Want A Man Like Me” features the powerhouse duo Larkin Poe reimagining one of King’s most playful songs with swagger and soul. “Larkin Poe are such a talented pair, and they both killed this track,” says Smith. “They brought such a unique spin and attitude to the original that flips it on its head. Mostly, it’s just such a fun rocking track. The vocals are incredible as is the lap steel guitar solo!!”
On “Heartbreaker,” Eric Gales and Trombone Shorty deliver one of the project’s most explosive moments. “Man, Trombone Shorty and Eric Gales together?!?! What a combo,” Smith says. “So much talent. Shorty kills the vocals and plays all the horns on the song, and Eric does what he does!!! Pays tribute to B.B. while always being himself. This one just came together magically!!”
“Watch Yourself” finds Texas blues legend Jimmie Vaughan at his most relaxed and soulful. “What an honor to have Jimmie Vaughan,” says Smith. “This is one of my favorite B.B. shuffles ever, and Jimmie brought so much fun and attitude to it. Jimmie also cared so much about the track that he recorded his own horn section unprompted (not knowing we were going to add the horns later anyway)! So cool and such a great performance.”
The volume closes with “When It All Comes Down (I’ll Still Be Around)” featuring Larry McCray. “This song is a personal favorite from B.B.'s magical 60’s/70’s era,” says Smith. “Larry is truly the top of the heap, the greatest contemporary bluesman in the world. We just knew he would kill this song, and he does nothing less. The best!!!”
Produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith, B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100 continues to unfold in monthly installments through February 2026, culminating in the full 32-track album’s release on February 6th. With the blessing of the B.B. King Estate, The B.B. King Music Company, and the King family, Bonamassa and team set out to unite generations of artists who have been shaped by King’s influence.
“When B.B. was alive and active, he was the blues – he was the sun which all planets rotated around,” says Bonamassa. “You only get one shot to do this correctly. And I think we nailed it.”
Previous volumes have featured Gary Clark Jr., Keb’ Mo’, Paul Rodgers, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Pat Monahan of Train, Aloe Blacc, Michael McDonald, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Bobby Rush, George Benson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and D.K. Harrell – each artist bringing their own story, sound, and respect to King’s legacy.
The album’s title pays homage to King’s Grammy-winning 1993 Blues Summit, and the project carries that same collaborative spirit forward on a global scale. For Bonamassa, it’s both a tribute and a mission. “B.B.’s only wish was, ‘Do what you can to keep the blues alive,’” he says. “Well, hopefully this album gives a B12 shot to his legacy – and to the legacy of the blues.”
The announcement arrives during an especially significant moment in Bonamassa’s own career. His latest studio album Breakthrough earned him his fifth GRAMMY nomination, while Eric Gales’ A Tribute To LJK - produced by Bonamassa and Josh Smith - was also nominated in the same category. On the road, Bonamassa is currently in the midst of his Fall 2025 U.S. Tour, which runs through December 6th and includes stops in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, and more. The tour marks the final run with longtime keyboardist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Reese Wynans, who recently announced that he will step back from everyday touring after this season. LIVE EP AVAILABLE NOW!

ALASTAIR GREENE UNLEASHES EXPLOSIVE NEW LIVE EP LIVE IN SIN CITY - OUT NOV 14 VIA RUF RECORDS
AUSTIN, TX – Following the release of his fiery single “Temptation (Live in Sin City)”, acclaimed blues-rock guitarist Alastair Greene is set to drop his highly anticipated new live EP, LIVE IN SIN CITY, on Ruf Records November 14, 2025.
Recorded on tour while opening for the legendary George Thorogood, LIVE IN SIN CITY captures the raw power, grit, and groove that Greene and his powerhouse band bring to the stage night after night. The EP delivers an unfiltered, front-row experience from Las Vegas, Nevada, distilling the energy, chemistry, and joy of a musician at the top of his game.
“We had the best time opening for George Thorogood & The Destroyers,” says Greene. “This EP is a little taste of that amazing tour — straight from our set in Las Vegas, Nevada.”
In addition to the already released single “Temptation (Live in Sin City)”, the LIVE IN SIN CITY EP features four more blistering live performances: “Trouble At Your Door”, “Standing Out Loud” (the title track from Greene’s most recent studio album), “Slow Burn”, and a fiery rendition of “Meantown Blues”, a tribute to the late Johnny Winter.
A native of Santa Barbara, California, and now based in Austin, Texas, Alastair Greene has spent decades riding his blues-soaked rock sound into the 21st century — traversing a constantly evolving global and musical landscape. Known for his searing guitar tone, soulful vocals, and magnetic stage presence, Greene has carved out a reputation as one of the most dynamic and authentic artists in modern blues rock.
Beyond his acclaimed solo career, Greene has contributed his signature touch to the music of Grammy-winner Alan Parsons and Grammy-nominated soul-blues artist Sugaray Rayford, further cementing his standing as a respected and versatile guitarist.
Greene’s latest studio album, Standing Out Loud, is a commanding statement of musicianship and passion — a reputation now reinforced by the live intensity of LIVE IN SIN CITY. The EP is both a celebration of the road and a testament to the enduring power of live blues-rock in its purest form.
LIVE IN SIN CITY will be available on all major streaming platforms November 14, 2025, featuring:
- Temptation (Live in Sin City)

VizzTone releases new 11 GUYS QUARTET single – “Off The Rails”.

Here it is in time for the holidays — another romping, stomping instrumental workout from 11 Guys Quartet. "Off the Rails" features the kind of grooving slide guitar riffs and blistering harp playing that are sure to get you moving. Tell your Ma, tell your Pa you better get it before it's come and gone! Lively up your seasonal soirées with "Off The Rails" by 11 Guys Quartet.
A note for harmonica aficionados: This track marks Rosy's first attempt to play one of Will Wilde's "Wilde-Tuned" harps. Definitely some new notes on this one!
The 11 Guys Quartet — A Little History:
Paul Lenart (guitar), Bill “Coach” Mather (bass), Chuck Purro (drums) and Richard “Rosy” Rosenblatt (harmonica) got together in the early 1980s as the 11th Hour Band — played some great rockin' blues, hit the Boston area clubs and had some wild times. They released Hot Time In The City Tonight in 1985, the flagship album of the fledgling Tone-Cool Records imprint, and went on to play together off and on for the next few decades. They all stayed busy with other pursuits, but their unique musical chemistry and friendship kept bringing the "11 Guys" back to their original quartet.
Around 2008 they decided to go into VizzTone's basement studio to record some original blues instrumentals — straight-ahead, unadorned live takes, mood pieces and variations — no screaming solos, all self-contaiined and, well... small. After considering the possibilities for another decade or so, they decided in 2020 it was time to release this music to the world as "11 Guys Quartet - Small Blues And Grooves," and fans, radio and press from around the world responded lovingly:
“Masterful, understated, and just plain cool” – The Rock Doctor, Canada
"Heat of sound fairness of the game, and intimate knowledge of the territory” – Paris Move, France
“A treasure trove of great music” – Blues Matters, UK
“The close chemistry in the playing breathes right through the CD” – Elmore magazine, USA
The Guys were gratified by the response to Small Blues and Grooves, and after that reception they weren’t about to let one little pandemic stop them, so they dug in with remote recordings and produced 11 new singles accompanied by wildly creative videos produced by The Coach. (Check out their YouTube channel!) These singles yielded the band’s 2023 album, 11 x 11.
Now they’re pressing forward, one single at a time. The newest single release, “Off The Rails,” is their fourth since 11 x 11. It’s a romping, stomping workout that takes the guys to a wild juke joint.

"A confident slice of ambient keyboard creativity" ~ Big Takeover Magazine
"Enchanting... Original and unique, creating a universe of its own" ~ Amplify Music Magazine
"Beguiling, yet creative, forward-thinking and adventurous" ~ The Swindonian
"Weaves a cinematic realm to immerse within but equally a corporeal catchiness... With a Mick Karn meets Gary Numan hue to the darker edge of its ethereal suggestion" ~ Ringmaster Review
As we approach winter and the solstice draws closer, Texas-based electronic composer Paris Music Corp. a.k.a. John Andrew Paris presents two new tracks - 'Midnight Pad' and 'Sun Halos' - that juxtapose light with dark, similar to how night turns to day and to night once again.
Nature and cycles are themes explored on his new 'Ecotone' album as he takes us on an electronic odyssey that is both deeply personal and geographically-inspired. This record is rooted in the artist's relocation to his childhood home in Brownsville, South Texas, just miles from the border and the coast. Paris wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered this at Tarantula Studios over the past two years.
"'Midnight Pad' was another late-night writing excursion using some mind expansion influence. Another piece that started with my phone and ended up with hardware synths and drum machines in the studio one it was built. And 'Sun Halos'? Creating a song just happens sometimes. Brian Eno always talked about his main theory in that “music just happens”. It's really like a magic trick sometimes when what you turn out is an earworm of a piece that is memorable," says John Andrew Paris.
Originally from Austin, John Andrew Paris has spent decades creating music and collaborating with artists, including Arthur Brown (The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, perhaps best known for his hit single 'Fire'), as well as DJ Rev Kathy Russell, DJ Lucas Ray, Catastrophe Ballet, Le Reve, Life's Eyes, Beast of Eden, OBOYO and Don Wigwam.
"The 'Ecotone' album made sense to me because you have a transitional zone, where two different ecological communities or ecosystems meet and intermingle, often resulting in high biodiversity. I feel a lot closer to nature.. Some of my song titles reflect where I am. I actually lived in this area as a child and have come back to my roots,” says John Andrew Paris.
"A lot of these pieces were started on a phone app called Ableton Note. With this application you are able to scratch-pad a lot of cool ideas and then import them into you music workstation and finish them out. When I first moved to my new place I didn’t have a spacious studio setup and I wrote a lot just sitting up all hours of the night writing ideas on Ableton Note."
Known for his cinematic and ethereal music, on this album, Paris Music Corp.'s music also shows its dark underbelly and futuristic imagination. Often with elements of 80’s darkwave and ambient soundscapes, his trademark sound includes heavily processed guitar and bass instruments locked into layered loops and further manipulated using software. Also employing live hand percussion, these dense soundscapes take the listener on a sonic journey to otherworldly places.
Earlier, Paris Music Corp. shared 'Rituals' and the lead track 'No Soy A.I.', featuring searing Spanish vocals by fellow Texan musician, writer and actor RayPerez. In a world increasingly dominated by the cold, calculated logic of artificial intelligence, this dark slab of swirling electro casts a sonic challenge to the algorithmic chill of our times and the only track on this album with vocals. This song also addresses the coldness of some of AI’s tendencies, such as people already having AI girlfriends and boyfriends.
In 2022, Paris Music Corp. released his self-titled album, after taking hiatus for half a decade following the release of his debut album 'Rewind' in 2017. Influenced by Mick Karn, Pink Floyd, Gary Numan, Tim Hecker, Casino Versus Japan and Miles Davis, John Andrew Paris has scored the documentary 'Andy Paris: Bubble Gum King', also released as an album, and the horror film 'Spectral Wind', and created a clever electronic rework of 'Lord of the Dance' for the Austin Christmas Collection Album.
The 'Ecotone' album is out now, available from digital platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp.

Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast Ignite With Soul-Stirring New Rock Anthem “Everything I Need” Prior To 2025 UK Tour.
Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast Announce New Single ‘Everything I Need’, which is released on Friday 21st November 2025.
London — Thursday 13th November 2025. With a voice that can shake rafters and heal hearts in the same breath, Caitlin
Krisko & The Broadcast return with “Everything I Need”, a sweeping rock anthem inspired by the unbreakable spirit of the UK live-music community. It’s a song that captures the fire of connection, the resilience of live music, and the wild electricity that only happens at concerts.
Over rolling organ tones and iconic guitar riffs, Krisko’s vocals soar like a storm at sunrise. Equal parts defiant and devotional, her voice, often compared to the emotional gravity of Beth Hart and the raw magnetism of Grace Potter, cuts straight to the bone as she belts the refrain: “You got everything I need / If the sun don’t come tomorrow / There’s no need for sorrow.”
It’s a reminder that even when the lights fade, what endures is the human connection that makes rock & roll worth fighting for. “‘Everything I Need’ came from the nights on tour in the UK last year where the audience became the heartbeat of the room,” says Krisko. “Those shows reminded me that no matter how far from home I am, music always finds a way to make us family.”
Guitarist and producer Aaron Austin builds the track like a cathedral, layering lush harmonies, vintage-tube warmth, and the kind of slow-burning tension that feels almost cinematic. The result is an anthem that lands somewhere between
Southern soul , classic rock revival, and spiritual catharsis. "Everything I Need" is a testament to the band’s evolution as one of the most dynamic acts in modern roots rock.
“Everything I Need’ will be released on Friday 21st November 2025 on your chosen streaming/download platform.
“Everything I Need” is just one piece of what’s to come from Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast’s highly anticipated full-length album Heirloom, arriving early 2026. The record is a sweeping collection of songs that bridge raw rock & roll energy with soul-stirring ballads, carrying forward the band’s reputation for powerful live performances while diving deeper into themes of love, loss, resilience, and legacy. Heirloom represents the band at their most honest and expansive, a body of work crafted to be treasured for years to come.
This December, Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast will release Keepsake as a limited-edition EP, featuring the first six tracks off the full-length album, available exclusively at their UK tour dates. The EP serves as both a collector's item and the opening chapter of the band’s forthcoming full-length album Heirloom. As the band explains, every Heirloom begins as a Keepsake,
making this release a symbolic bridge.
Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast have built their reputation on the road with electrifying performances across the US and UK. Hailed by Rolling Stone as “the best-kept vocal secret of the Southeast,” the band continues the raw, unfiltered energy of American rock & roll, carrying forward a tradition that stretches from Muscle Shoals to Macon. Perfect for fans of
Beth Hart, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Samantha Fish, and Marcus King, Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast delivers both the fire of rock and the soul of timeless storytelling.
“Everything I Need” follows on from the previous single releases ‘Hello My Dear’, ‘Let It Ride and ‘Heart Of Gold’ all of which have received extensive radio airplay on various stations across the UK including Planet Rock, Puritans Radio,
KTCR FM, WCRFM, Blues Radio UK, Get Ready To Rock Radio, Bishop FM and more.
In addition, Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast are very excited to announce a twelve-date UK Tour for Winter 2025. The tour commences on Sunday 30th November 2025 with a performance on The Graham Harding Stage at Planet Rockstock
2025 in Porthcawl, Wales. This will then be followed by headline dates in Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Leeds, Bromley, Wolverhampton, Coulsdon, Sittingbourne, Bristol and will then wrap things up in London.
The tour will include the band’s first headline dates in Scotland following their special guest appearance in Glasgow in September 2023 with Robert Jon & The Wreck. Fan demand for a Scottish return online was palpable and with Caitlin’s family having Scottish roots, this tour will be incredibly special.

'The Blues Brothers: The Lost Recordings': Ltd Ed Blue Vinyl - John Belushi & Dan Ackroyd, and some of greatest musicians ever.
‘The Blues Brothers: The Lost Recordings’
13 Long Lost Live Tape Recordings featuring John Belushi
and Dan Ackroyd and some of the greatest musicians ever.
Ltd Ed Blue Vinyl, tapes Discovered in Belushi’s old briefcase.
Plus new original graphic novel sequel

Released on 21 November 2025 by Z2 Comics / RSK Entertainment, ‘The Blues Brothers: The Lost Recordings’ were discovered on a tape in Belushi’s old briefcase, and this album will be available exclusively as a Royal Blue-coloured vinyl release. Uncovered by the late Judy Belushi Pisano, this series of unreleased tracks offer a rare musical glimpse of Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues at the height of their Blues powers. Belushi and Aykroyd blast through a 13-song set with some of the greatest musicians who ever lived. The gang is all here, as Blues Brothers legends Matt “Guitar” Murphy, Steve “The Colonel” Cropper, Donald “Duck” Dunn, Paul “The Shiv” Shaffer, Lou “Blue Lou” Marini, Tom “Bones” Malone, Alan “Mr. Fabulous” Rubin, Steve “GETDWA” Jordan, and Tom “Triple Scale” Scott show why this band is timeless. The album features unheard versions of blues classics.
Additionally, an incredible original graphic novel, ‘The Blues Brothers: The Escape Of Joliet Jake’, is also being made available. ‘The Blues Brothers: The Escape of Joliet Jake’ will be available as the standard issue hardback book, via RSK Entertainment / Simon & Schuster on 11 December 2025. A deluxe edition [oversized hardcover with slipcase, plus 3 exclusive art cards with exclusive art by Felipe Sobreiro] will follow in the New Year, on 26 February 2026. Further deluxe formats will be available via Z2 Comics direct.
With the release of The Blues Brothers, John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd unleashed a film that would thrill and entertain generations with their Mission From God. Now, exactly 45 years later, Z2 has partnered with the Aykroyd and Belushi families and estate to deliver the sequel to that film.
Blues Brothers founder and creator Dan “Elwood Blues” Aykroyd, who provided editorial oversight and a brand new foreword for the book, said, “In this wonderful form of printed artistic expression we get to continue the legend of Jake and Elwood and pass it forward in ways that film can't. This graphic novel keeps the spirit of The Blues Brothers alive; mischievous recidivists, musical outlaws who above everything, care about the Blues. The quest for the Briefcase, full of unearthed lyrics and music from the greats, is an honourable Grail. The Blues Brothers: The Escape of Joliet Jake’ is a passing of the legacy to the next generation, echoing the true heart of our original story - keeping alive what should not be forgotten.
Written by Stella Aykroyd, Luke Pisano and James Werner with artist Felipe Sobriero, ‘The Blues Brothers: The Escape of Joliet Jake’ picks up 10 years after the events in the 1980 film, and serves as a love letter to the Blues Brothers. Joliet Jake has disappeared from prison… but has he committed the unthinkable jailbreak, or was he kidnapped? A new cast of characters are now on their own mission to find Jake and the mythical Briefcase Full of Blues. Along the way, they’ll be helped by familiar faces, as well as thwarted by enemies (Illinois Nazis will forever be a struggle it seems), as they careen through Chicago leaving chaos and laughter in their wake. The utmost care has been taken to ensure that this new chapter is true to the classic skits, legendary film, and iconic albums. The result is a wild and entertaining ride for both longtime fans, and those new to the world of Jake and Elwood Blues.
‘The Blues Brothers: The Lost Recordings’ vinyl edition and ‘The Escape Of Joliet Jake’ graphic novel offer a look at the past and indeed the future of one of the most cherished film and music creations of all time.

Son Little returns with first new music in 3 years - Listen to new track 'In Orbit'.

“Son Little is one of the best songwriters working today. He’s honest, unique, thorough, and subtly elaborate. His voice slinks in through the spheres and suddenly he’s inside your soul, telling you the lay of the land” American Songwriter
Described as “a rich and soulful baritone” by Uncut, Aaron Livingston, aka Son Little, is sharing 'In Orbit' today, his first new music in three years. Sweet yet plaintive, Little pledges: “i’ll wait for you in orbit / but i don’t know how long that i can go.”
“I read and watch a lot of science fiction, and I'm obsessed with the idea of a thing being in different places at the same time,” Little explains when discussing the meaning of the song. 'In Orbit' plays with this idea lyrically, while using echoes and the spaces in my playing to suggest the great distance between lovers who, for various reasons, can’t be together.”

2022’s ‘Like Neptune’ established Son Little as the polyglot translator and rightful torchbearer of the celebrated musical tradition known as rhythm and blues. Continuing to revolutionise the modern understanding and expectation of the R&B sound, Son Little delivers an unadulterated transmission of Black American music performed in its praying and pleading mother tongue. With it, he completes the daunting tasks of confronting himself and pushing his sound to completion.
“I’ve always felt as though I was making music because I had to; something inside compelled me, fueled me,” Little shared. “This the first time in a long time I’m making music for the pure joy of creating.”
The result was a timeless body of work reflective of his deep internal desire to inhabit the most radiant version of himself and become a positive force in the lives of people around him. “Son Little’s Like Neptune is a stunning statement of purpose ... his most emotionally vulnerable and sonically bold album yet,” declared Afropunk.
Son Little is currently on tour with Larkin Poe, crisscrossing Europe with upcoming shows in Portugal, Spain, France and Belgium. All tour dates are listed below.

"From their emergence in 1982, they've sculpted a perpetual warped seduction... Their almost serpentine invention and dark musical incitements have continued to inspire and invigorate... truly one of the leading lights and template setting protagonists of British rock ‘n’ roll" ~ Ringmaster Review
"Thirty years down the line the Inca Babies' recordings are not just a collection of outstanding songs from independent music's golden age, but for those of us who were there, they remain pretty much a life statement; a declaration of intent" ~ Isolation Records
Manchester's iconic post-punk outfit Inca Babies presents 'Two Rails To Nowhere', a re-envisioned offering from their 'Reincarnation' album, a fantastic collection of back catalogue classics, re-recorded, re-invented and re-Inca-rnated. The A-side/ B-side version of this single, released on Spotify, includes the original version from 1988, which features Clint Boon of the Inspiral Carpets.
Led by Harry Stafford, Inca Babies were a vibrant part of Britain's early postpunk / death-rock scene, amassing a steady following through five intensive years of touring, six singles and four albums, all of which entered the UK Indie Charts. After four sessions for BBC's John Peel show in 1984-1988, the band called it quits, but then reformed in 2007.
"This was from our fourth album 'Evil Hour'. On the original version, we managed to hire Clint Boon of the Inspiral Carpets to play Hammond organ for us. This is a song that was inspired by the trad country blues number 'Midnight Special', but somehow had more of a Gun Club vibe to it, says Harry Stafford.
That fast-paced version was never given the epic grandeur that it deserved. Previously a 3-minute folk rock tune that told a small story of country woe, this expanded version is now allowed to breath into the country prison song it always wanted to be, telling a far more heroic tale.
Now, with bottleneck slide by guitarist Vincent O'Brien and the measured rhythm backing of Rob Haynes, the song has "been slowed down to a more contemplative pace. and with floating guitars and harmonic vocal blues the story becomes all the more of the prison song it was intended to be", says Harry Stafford. The video is very 21st century with Manchester trams and a city centre setting as the backdrop for the mournful pleading of Harry’s vocal delivery.
Now a 4-piece, with Stafford joined by guitarist Jim Adama, bassist Dave Carmichael (Rat) and long-term member Rob Haynes (The Membranes, Goldblade) on drums and percussion, the Incas earlier shared 'Candy Mountain', a reworking from their 1985 album ‘This Train’, with its hypnotic bass line, contemporary groove and electronic sequencing.
'Reincarnation' is a collection of select Inca Babies tracks, re-recorded, re-invented and reincarnated for 2025. Recorded and mixed over two years at 6Db Studios in Salford by renowned producer Simon ‘Ding’ Archer (The Fall, PJ Harvey) and Harry Stafford, with Ding also contributing serious sonic and dub flourishes, this album was mastered by Marco Butcher at Boombox Studio in North Carolina.
"Looking through our back catalogue, it occurred to me that there were tracks that should again be made available in some manner and others that would benefit from reinvention. Last year's 'Ghost Mechanic Nine' album was an opportunity to create new music for our fans, who would like this music in the form of digital downloads and, for the truly hardcore, as a 12” Vinyl Album," says Harry Stafford.
"But it was also a realisation that we could invigorate old tunes. We already had a ‘best of’ compilation in ‘Plutonium', released in 2006, so we embarked upon a new quest, to inject new life into our favourite back catalogue. This whole project was to be an Innovative re-imagining of old tunes: re-invented for contemporary consideration. All of them Re-awakened and 'Re-inca-rnated'."
Inca Babies' journey - from their formation in 1983 in Manchester's now-legendary deck-access flats of Hulme to where they are today - was highlighted in last year's documentary 'The Making of Ghost Mechanic Nine'. Since reforming, they have released four albums and toured Europe, Russia, North America, India and beyond. They continue to explore goth, punk and death-rock jazz-blues, while paying tribute to the strong riffing and cool, dead-pan delivery of the dark wave scene at the time.
'Two Rails To Nowhere' is out everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. Now available for pre-order via Bandcamp, the 'Reincarnation' album will be released (both on CD and digitally) via Black Lagoon Records on November 28th.

"Hauntingly heavy and beautiful" – LA Weekly
"A masterclass in sonic transubstantiation... BIC transmutes a staple of the American folk canon – one still echoing Johnny Cash’s gravel – into a swamp-gothic drone, immediately followed by the righteous indignation of a Joe Strummer deep cut" ~ The Spill Magazine
The evolving revolving entity Beauty In Chaos present their latest sonic offering - 'God's Gonna Cut You Down / Get Down Moses', released via 33.3 Music Collective and produced by Grammy-nominated producer Michael Rozon (Ministry, Jarboe, Wayne Hussey, The Melvins),
Beauty In Chaos has come a long way since launching in 2018 by Los Angeles-based guitarist Michael Ciravolo (formerly of Human Drama and Gene Loves Jezebel and current President of Schecter Guitars) but his musical road often finds him circling back to visit his roots, celebrating them with new renditions.
The new two-song digital EP single features an enveloping, smokey rendition of the traditional gospel hymn 'God’s Gonna Cut You Down', popularized by The Man in Black himself - Mr. Johnny Cash (who also happens to be a distant cousin to BIC’s own Tish Ciravolo), along with the B-side showcasing Beauty In Chaos' own take on Joe Strummer’s 'Get Down Moses'.
In addition to very familiar territory (guitars and textures), BIC curator Michael Ciravolo contributes vocals on both tracks, joined by Michael Rozon (lap steel guitar, snare drum, voices), as well as Tish Ciravolo, Whitney Tai, Set Miller, Anthony Love and Tim Perry (background vocals and foot stomps).
“While both of these songs have certainly been covered before, I think we have injected BIC into them … even if we have stretched, what some have come to expect from us sonically,” says Michael Ciravolo.
BIC also unveils the video for 'God’s Gonna Cut You Down', filmed and directed by Vicente Cordero (Industrialism Films) and edited by Ryan Conlon based on a concept by Michael Ciravolo.
Ciravolo shares, “I think the haunted New Orleans’ French Quarter vibe compliments our approach to the song. There is certainly an underlying story-line running through the video, which is left to an individual’s interpretation… but in the end; good indeed triumphs over evil”.
This two-track single follows two solid releases for BIC' - their 'Dancing With Angels' album and the remix companion album ‘Signs In The Heavens Reality Upside Down’, which is available as a limited edition double CD, along with videos for 'Made Of Rain (Almost Acoustic)' feat. Ashton Nyte and Whitney Tai and the double-whammy offering 'Children Of The Revolution' feat. Al Jourgensen and 'Open Your Eyes' (honoring T.Rex / Marc Bolan and The Lords of the New Church, respectively).
Past BIC releases involve members of The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, The Offspring, Gene Loves Jezebel, Marilyn Manson, Human Drama, Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, Van Halen, A Flock of Seagulls and dUg Pinnick, ICE-T, Rolan Bolan and Zakk Wylde, among many other luminaries.
The new single is available everywhere digitally, including Beauty In Chaos' store, Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. Beauty In Chaos also plans to release the video for 'Get Down Moses' in December.

Introducing: Brother Wallace.

A true force of nature, Brother Wallace was born to make music that ignites pure joy, even in the darkest of moments. Since getting his start playing piano in church at the age of 11, the West Point, Georgia-bred artist has followed his lifelong passion down an extraordinary path that spans from sharing the stage with gospel legend Kirk Franklin to performing at historic venues like Madison Square Garden. Today, Brother Wallace shares his debut single 'Who’s That' along with the announcement that he’s signed to ATO Records to release his first album this spring. The single was premiered on BBC6 Music by Craig Charles, who described it as "so silky smooth, I am already so excited to hear more music from him". Wallace will also join a Spring US 2026 tour with St. Paul & The Broken Bones. See below for the full itinerary.

WATCH 'WHO'S THAT' VIDEO HERE
'Who’s That' is a grand introduction to Brother Wallace as a solo artist, a shining star of soul music embarking on a new era. The song presents a boundless feeling of joy and relentless energy, and is a showcase for a voice that is, simply put, a show-stopper. Wallace inhabits the role of an unwitting character who’s caught his woman out on the town with another man. “I wanted to tell the story of a heartbreak without making it a sad song,” he says. “The stance it’s taking is more like, ‘I’m all right, I’m not hurt—I caught you and now I’m moving on.’ There’s something almost triumphant about it.”
Scuffed up with grit, sweat and a touch of distortion, Memphis horn blasts and 'Sympathy For The Devil' woos, 'Who’s That' is a tantalizingly fresh take on soul. The song was produced and co-written by Dan Taylor, the guitarist in UK rock band The Heavy, known for their smash hit single 'How You Like Me Now'. It was recorded at Real World Studios in England (the famed facility founded by pop luminary Peter Gabriel), engineered and mixed by Bob Mackenzie (James Blake, The 1975, King Krule, SAULT) and Jim Abbiss (Adele, Arctic Monkeys), and features Brother Wallace on piano as well.
Wallace and The Heavy’s Dan Taylor bonded after a chance meeting. Along with spending time together on extensive tours, in which Wallace joined The Heavy as a backing vocalist, they’ve since teamed up to create new music based on Wallace’s electrifying brand of soul music, after years as a music teacher for grades K-12. Raised in the tiny rural town of West Point, GA, Wallace started singing in church as a small child and began his formal training in piano at just six years old. By the time he was 14, he’d landed the role of director for his church’s 100-member choir, and soon moved on to penning original songs for the choir to sing. After studying psychology in college, Wallace carved out a singular career at the intersection of music and education, serving as a band director and choral director for a number of schools, while releasing a series of gospel albums spotlighting his phenomenal vocal talents.

Joe Jackson: UK Tour dates, and new studio album.
Joe Jackson and his band will perform 7 UK dates in September / October 2026, tickets will go on sale on Friday 14th November 2025 at 10am UK time.
Tickets go on sale November 14, 2025 and will be available from https://www.aegpresents.co.uk/event/joe-jackson/.

"There’s a satisfying heaviness that’s particularly alluring" ~ FLOOD Magazine
"A captivating blend of thoughtful introspection and expansive soundscapes... One of the coolest bands to have emerged on the American psychedelic rock scene in the past decade"
~ XS Noize
"Mesmerizingly brooding and fuzzed-out ‘n’ fiery" ~ The Big Takeover
"A psychedelic opus from one track to the next, year after year" ~ Ghettoblaster Magazine
"A booming beast of fuzz-laden, psychedelic thunder" ~ Post-Punk.com
LA-based indie rock outfit Tombstones In Their Eyes presents 'Alive and Well', a beautifully raucous psychedelic rock revival hymn, following the brooding lead track 'Under Dark Skies'. This unexpectedly fierce and defiant declaration of strength is the second taste of their 'Under Dark Skies' album, to be released via Little Cloud Records (for North America) and Shore Dive Records (for the UK and EU). This 2-track offering also includes the radio edit.
This song is dedicated to TITE guitarist Paul Boutin, who recently lost his battle with cancer. As Paul Lovecraft, he was a prolific musician, releasing music even after an operation nicked his vocal chords. Having met Tombstones' main-man John Treanor at Kitten Robot Studios about 10 years ago while working on his own projects, they fell into the same orbital realms until Paul eventually joined the band.
The song features John Treanor on vocals and guitar, Paul Boutin on guitar, Nic Nifoussi on bass, Paul Roessler on keyboards, Stephen Striegel on drums and percussion), and Courtney Davies, Clea Cullen and Joel Wasko on backing vocals,
"When our beloved friend and guitar player lost his life on 10/18/25, we were shocked, confused and incredibly saddened. Paul was so kind, generous, intelligent and always optimistic. Being in TITE was a source of pride and joy for Paul. He was so easy to be around and was dedicated, driving many hours for practices and shows, always bringing his cheerfulness and optimism. We miss him greatly and are glad he is all over this record," says John Treanor.
"We were initially going to scrap 'Alive and Well' as a single after Paul's passing (for obvious reasons), but because it was one of Paul's favorites and a song on which he played guitar, we are going ahead with the release. The lyrics are about rising out of desperate circumstances with newfound strength - something Paul himself experienced, having dragged himself out of his own difficulties to ultimately rebuild a life full of joy and purpose. While not planned that way, 'Alive and Well' ended up being a statement of intent - a story of a journey from despair to strength."
The accompanying video was created by Italian multi-arts visionary Francesca Bonci, known for her work with Federale (BJM's Collin Hegna), British bard Philip Parfitt, The Dandy Warhols' Peter G. Holmström a.k.a. Pete International Airport and Slowdive's Rachel Goswell.
A year on from their 'Asylum Harbour' album, this record emerged during a year of intense personal change, before finally moving into a place of light and gratitude. Recorded and engineered by Paul Roessler (The Screamers, Nina Hagen, 45 Grave) at Kitten Robot Studios, this album was co-produced by John Treanor and mastered by multi-platinum engineer Alex DeYoung at DeYoung Masters (Michael Jackson, BTS, Macy Gray, The Linda Lindas, TSOL).
As of November 11, 'Alive and Well' is available everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where the 'Asylum Harbour' album can also be found on CD and red vinyl. On December 5, the 'Under Dark Skies' album will be released digitally and on vinyl via Little Cloud Records (US) and Shore Dive Records (UK and EU).

"A dedicated exercise in analog authenticity... Like a forgotten gem unearthed from the early '90s... Recalling alt-rock touchstones like Sonic Youth, Talking Heads and dEUS... an infectious, authentic rush" ~ The Spill Magazine
No-wave, angular post-punk outfit Rayon present their beautifully whacked-out single 'Shopping', a tongue-in-cheek ode to consumerism and travel born from near-burnout and a revitalizing trip south of the border. The video for 'Shopping', filmed with their awesomely nostalgic Super 8 video, showcases grocery store antics before being kicked out, proving that new life can always be found on aisle five.
Along with B-side 'Running', the single is available on 7" vinyl and as a two-track digital release via Little Cloud Records. This is the first in an exciting new series of similar records in the works for Rayon.
The project of long-time North Portland resident and Detroit-area native Eric Sabatino, Rayon now also involves members of Sun Atoms, Yuvees, Pastilla and Martha Stax - namely Anna Sabatino, Riley McLaughlin, Eric Rubalcava and Derek Longoria-Gomez. Recording on rainy weekends in a garage studio packed with old reel-to-reel tape machines, partially-functional tube amps, and leaky British motorcycles, these songs were recorded onto 16 tracks of 1/2” tape, while running the tracks through a slightly-wonky sounding tape echo.
Sabatino broke tradition with this release, deciding to mix it together with famed recording engineer Larry Crane (Cat Power, Sleater-Kinney, The Decemberists, The Go-Betweens, Elliott Smith, Death Cab for Cutie) at Jackpot Recording and Timothy Stollenwerk (Yo La Tengo, Grouper, Morphine) at Stereophonic Mastering.
"Doing everything on film and tape is a bit of a safety check-valve, to make sure we make everything like humans with no autotune, copy/paste or AI. I'm becoming an imperfectionist,” says Eric Sabatino.
“This was the first time we’ve engaged a "professional" to work on our recordings. The education we received was immense, and Larry was kind with his explanations of everything we had previously done "wrong" with our recordings, was willing to work with what we provided and willing to get weird with us."
Written in two parts, 'Shopping' is a tongue-in-cheek song about consumerism and travel, written by a person who travels and consumes quite a bit. 'Running' is an anxious song about the people you love and the addictions that they can't shake - and the sound of a tape echo that's about to stop working.
Rayon spent last winter honing these and other songs through a series of live shows, including an epic trip to Guadalajara, which served as creative fodder for the band's latest inspiration and re-invigoration.
"This EP almost didn’t happen. I nearly walked away from Rayon. The last record wasn’t selling, a lack of decent show offers, festival rejections and a general feeling of burnout was happening. Our second guitarist left, and then our drummer. The addition of guitarist Riley McLaughlin (from Yuvees and Club Deluxe) and Eric Rubalcava (drums) and Derek Longoria-Gomez (percussion and bass) from our "band-in-law" Sun Atoms brought new life and energy to the band," says Eric Sabatino.
"We played some of the first enjoyable shows in a few years, and a new energy emerged. We started functioning as a band, we traveled to Mexico, and came back to record these songs. And another record is in the works. As for the new video, we got kicked out of two grocery stores making it. The Mexican Tienda was cool as hell; they loved it. We shopped and goofed around in stores, drove the old car down to the park under the bridge and had a picnic. Jeff filmed it all on a cute old Super 8 camera."
Before forming Rayon, Eric Sabatino spent years playing with bands in Southern Michigan and Portland, sometimes with as many as six projects on the go at the same time. Self-described as “a guy who grew up on 80’s/90’s post punk and grunge trying to reconcile their love of R&B, Soul and 60’s British Pop”, Sabatino is now fully focused on this one project, built on the experience of years of writing, collaborating, studio work and touring with some of the Pacific Northwest’s hardest working bands.
'Shopping b/w Running' is out now digitally and available as a limited pressing of 150 blue transparent 7" record and 150 black 7" vinyl. It can be ordered in all formats via Bandcamp.

The EP also includes the new single “The Healer”, and two more new songs “Glass Eyes Crying” and “Olivia Lane.” “The Healer” is available on all streaming platforms HERE.

‘Hold The Mash – Track Listing
1. Make It - 3:26
2. Glass Eyes Crying - 4:22
3. Novocaine - 3:57
4. Olivia Lane - 4:13
5. The Healer - 3:44
Hold The Mash arrives just as Parker Barrow embark on a UK tour supporting Canadian rockers The Damn Truth on November 12th. Tickets are available from The Gig Cartel.
In February 2026 the band will set sail on the sold-out Rock Legends XIII Cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Turks and Caicos, joining Gene Simmons, Blue Öyster Cult, REO Speedwagon, The Guess Who, Uriah Heep, Loverboy, The Outlaws, Eric Burden and the Animals, and many more.
“The recording process for the EP was a completely new experience, unlike anything we’ve done before,” says Parker Barrow’s lead singer Megan Kane. “With guitarist Alex Bender joining the creative songwriting journey with us, everything felt refreshed and reimagined. Balancing our touring schedule while carving out time to record came with its own challenges. Watching the songs grow from voice memos, to fleshing out ideas in the basement of our house to finished recordings has been incredibly rewarding.”
Of new single “The Healer”, drummer Dylan Turner comments “It’s an exciting track because it shows a brand-new side of Parker Barrow,” says Dylan Turner. “Our music has always been groove based, and guitar driven, but this track called for something different. It features Eric Safka’s psychedelic-tinged organ solo which sets it apart from the rest of the tracks we’ve released so far.”
“Olivia Lane is a personal favourite of mine off of the EP,” says guitarist Alex Bender. “The track gradually builds using various textures and dynamics until it climaxes when the full band features on the final chorus. The first single we released from the Mash EP, ‘Make It’, is a hard-hitting rock song that crashes in, and doesn’t let up until the final drum fill. Creating diverse styles of music on the EP shows depth and musicality that is very characteristic of who we are as a band.”
Parker Barrow are led by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums). The name of the band is a homage to Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow - the infamous American bank robbers during the early 1930’s Great Depression.
A chance encounter in 2019 paired-up Megan and Dylan, who was hunting for a new singer. Two weeks later, they were on the road together, driven by one goal: making their musical dreams a reality. In 2023 Parker Barrow expanded with the full-time inclusion of guitarist and musical director Alex Bender. Dylan lays down a heavy groove while Megan’s soulful vocals soar high above. Alex’s inventive riffs and fiery playing pull it all together, creating Parker Barrow’s signature sound.
Parker Barrow’s vintage rock vibe features elements of Rock, Southern Rock, Blues & Soul; but their distinctive sound is unmistakably their own. There’s an impressive mix of old and new influences threaded throughout the band’s repertoire, including The Rolling Stones, Blackberry Smoke, Allman Brothers Band, Aerosmith, Tedeschi Trucks, The Black Crowes and traces of Led Zeppelin.
Parker Barrow’s debut album Jukebox Gypsies was released to glowing reviews from music press and fans globally; and the single “Back To Birmingham” racked up over a million YouTube views.
Represented by the American booking agency Intrepid Artists, Parker Barrow has earned a reputation for their powerhouse live shows featuring spontaneous jams and fresh twists on their songs. In 2025, the band were busy touring the U.S. and, in the summer, they played festivals, and headline shows in the U.K. and Spain.
Parker Barrow thrives on connecting with fans, both old and new. They will continue touring across the US and Europe through 2026. Their live shows deliver high energy, swagger, and pure heat—a testament that rock ‘n’ roll is very much alive and well.

"Infectious, feel-good rock with lyrics that balance introspection and hope... With this album, AudioGust is at the top of his game with this full-loaded sonic smorgasboard worthy of an entire college radio show. Definitely a worthwhile listen" ~ The Spill Magazine
"A musical atmosphere that combines 1980s power pop aesthetics with the fast edge of early 2000s alt-rock... composition that feeds on contrasts: loud and gentle, confident and nervous professional and primal" ~ Skylight Webzine
"A clever slice of pop rock... Melodically loaded hooks and teasing riffs join agile rhythms, Evans' harmonious vocals adding to the virulence" ~ Ringmaster Review
Seattle-based artist AudioGust presents his third album 'Falling From Down', along with the with focus track 'I Didn't Hear What You Said'. His most unflinching album yet, 'Falling From Down' takes us on a sonic journey through collapse, resilience, and the fragile beauty of survival. Showcasing a hard-edged post-grunge and modern rock sound while retaining the melodic hooks and storytelling that he has become known for, this music combines raw rock intensity with strong melodies and emotionally resonant lyrics.
The solo project of Chris Evans, AudioGust creates hooky anthems for disenchanted optimists. An accomplished songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Evans' journey started as a guitarist and bassist in various '80s bands. After a decades-long detour in the software industry, he's returned to his true passion - writing, recording and releasing loads of music and collaborating with artists worldwide.
“Falling From Down explores the struggles of modern life, from hitting rock bottom to finding small moments of hope and connection. This record is about what it feels like to live through times when you think you’ve already hit bottom, but then it somehow keeps getting worse. The songs trace that cycle — the collapse, the coping, the hope you hold onto anyway, and the moments of beauty you find even in the middle of chaos," says Chris Evans.
“The phrase ‘falling from down’ captures that feeling when you think things can’t possibly get worse, and then they do. It’s heavy, but it’s also about resilience — sticking it out and finding a way forward even when the bottom keeps dropping.”
'Falling From Down' isn’t just an album title — it’s a diagnosis of the times we live in. AudioGust sets the tone with songs that echo the weight of modern life: isolation, exhaustion, news cycles that don’t let us breathe. From the post-grunge opener 'Isotope' and searing title track (“Thought we hit bottom, but then we fell more”) to the restless tension of 'Easier', the first half of the record lives in the grind of days that keep piling on.
Just as 'Easier' imagines a world where not knowing could feel like freedom, the record shifts into a more open, hopeful space. Yet this album refuses to offer neat resolutions. Late-album tracks like 'No Place For This' snap us back to reality, where violence and hypocrisy can’t be ignored. And then the closing track, 'Down By The River', finds fragile beauty in the chaos, lights flickering against the dark. It’s not triumph, exactly. It’s survival, sung with grit and grace.
Two special guest vocalists also add dimension to this collection. Songs like 'You At My Door (feat. Liliana Tani)', 'Thousand Reasons (feat. Kelsey Grant)', 'Twilight Finds Your Eyes', 'I Didn’t Hear What You Said', 'Nothing Has to Happen' and 'Pick Me Up' explore love, connection, personal growth, and the small victories that make life meaningful.
With powerful, emotionally resonant music, AudioGust blends high-energy performances with deeply personal storytelling. He has released over four dozen songs across multiple albums and EPs, including his debut 'Walk With Me', follow-ups 'Hope from Darkness' and 'Love and Pain', and his second album 'Here We Go Again', released earlier this year and exploring the highs and lows of creativity, and the unpredictable nature of inspiration.
Crafting memorable melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, upbeat rhythms and arrangements, AudioGust's music explores the modern human condition. A finalist in the 2024 USA Songwriting Contest, AudioGust creates a sound vortex imbued with 90’s to 2000’s alt-rock, his guitar-driven music brings in a strong, driving rhythm section, big choruses and even bigger bridge sections.
As of November 7, 'Falling From Down' will be available from online music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

"All the kids are talking about it, and I blanked when answering
who my new favourite guitarist is... here he is, Matteo Mancuso. I have
not seen anyone reinvent like this since Stanley Jordan"
– Joe Bonamassa
Critically acclaimed Italian guitar virtuoso Matteo Mancuso will perform his biggest London headline concert to date at The Islington Assembly Hall on Thursday 14 May 2026. Tickets go on sale at 10am GMT on Friday 7 November via www.alttickets.com/matteo-mancuso-tickets.
Line-up: Matteo Mancuso (Guitars), Christian Mascetta (Guitars), Riccardo Oliva (Bass), and Gianluca Pellerito (Drums).
Matteo Mancuso, born in 1996, a guitar child prodigy, approached the world of music at
an early age, thanks to his father Vincenzo. He enrolled in a musical high school where he deepened his studies in classical guitar and founded the trio “SNIPS.” With this trio, he released the famous version of “The Chicken,” which quickly reached millions of views across various social media platforms.
In 2019, he began a collaboration with Yamaha Guitars, participating in the NAMM Show in Los Angeles, the “Young Guitar Festival” in Bangkok, and several masterclasses in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Perm).
"An absolute talent. His improvisational ability is light years ahead.
It would take two or three lifetimes. It was like when Jacko Pastorius
came on the scene. How did he get so good and so fast?"
– Al Di Meola
In 2020, Matteo formed his new trio with Stefano India on bass and Giuseppe Bruno on drums and began dedicating space to his compositional vein by presenting his first original tracks. This marked the beginning of his first intense live activity in Italy and Europe, which developed throughout 2021/2022.
On July 21, 2023, his first solo album, titled “The Journey,” was released. This work outlines his authentic, polyhedric musical nature and kicked off a new cycle of concerts with his new lineup, featuring Riccardo Oliva on bass and Gianluca Pellerito on drums. This cycle continued throughout 2024 with more than 50 concerts between the USA and Europe.
In 2025, he embarked on his first major international tour with over 30 concerts in the major cities of the USA, Canada, and Europe. His YouTube channel is followed by a vast international audience of nearly 300,000 subscribers. He has received praise and recognition, among others, from Steve Vai, Al di Meola, Joe Bonamassa, and Eric Johnson.

Francis Rossi Returns with new album ‘The Accidental’ in stores January 30th, 2026.

‘The Accidental’ by Francis Rossi, released by earMUSIC on 30th January 2026 on CD, LP and Digital formats, comes as something of a surprise... It was a surprise certainly to Francis, who had no plans to record an album. “This truly came out of nowhere”, says Rossi. “I spend my life in and out of the studio, rehearsing, tinkering, but something happened earlier this year and, before I knew it, we had created something special.”
While Rossi’s previous solo albums explored his love for acoustic ballads, vocal harmonies, and the blend of British rock with country influences, this album, Francis Rossi’s first in seven years, marks a true return to the energetic, guitar-driven sound that made him a legend with Status Quo.
‘The Accidental’ sees Francis Rossi playing to his strengths, but taking risks, cutting loose, and exploring new territory – this album is all about old bones and fresh blood.
The fresh blood in question comes largely from Hiran Ilangantilike, a guitarist who was originally a school friend of one of Francis’ children, and co-producer Andy Brook. What became the sessions for ‘The Accidental’ was initially born of just plugging in and making some serious noise, but something clicked in the studio. Lightening was indeed bottled: there was a swing and a groove, and the songs started pouring out. With John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and Leon Cave later laying down the bass and drums parts, and Amy Smith again bringing an extra dimension on back-up vocals, this became a project with a bite and DNA all of its own; albeit Francis’ playing is a distinctive as ever. Almost all of the songwriting credits reflect this fresh and collaborative ethos, though there are two that bear the classic Quo hallmark: Rossi / Young. Francis Rossi produced ‘The Accidental’; co-producer Andy Brook recorded, mastered, engineered, and played on the record, and co-wrote three tracks.
Kicking off with a flourish ‘Much Better’ segues into the ebullient ‘Go Man Go’, teeing up future classic ‘Push Comes To Shove’ and the plaintive yet strutting blues singalong of ‘Back On Our Home Ground’ [who will be the first Sports team to adopt this one?]. By then the engine is well and truly running, and the highlights keep coming. The chug and chant and choppy chords of ‘Something In The Air (Stormy Weather)’ give way to the cantering ‘Picture Perfect’, which could only be a Rossi number. The long strides of ‘November Again’ distil a melancholy refrain into a catchy chorus, and the epic ‘Beautiful World’ channels vintage era Quo with enough guitar to get the balcony of the Glasgow Apollo bouncing again. ‘Time To Remember’ is built around a piano line and swaying melody and serves as a poignant and powerful coda to an extraordinarily strong set of new songs.
Today’s announcement coincides with the launch of the first two songs: ‘Something In The Air (Stormy Weather)’ and ‘Go Man Go’ are available for streaming and download with immediate effect.
“For anyone who liked any of my solo albums previously”, says Francis Rossi, “… well, I’ve no idea what you’ll make of this one because it’s a real departure, but I love it. It’s loud, the guitars are right to the fore, and there are some great songs there”.
This new album finds Francis Rossi once more at the top of his game, with a searing yet thoughtful collection of rockers that will please anyone who likes their dose of heavy cut with melody and verve. Mark Twain said that the accident is “the greatest of all inventors”: when there are no rules, expectations or preconceptions, anything can - and will - happen. ‘The Accidental’ proves that amazing things unfold when an artist with an unrivalled track record is inspired to create new music – even after more than 50 years of success – by the sheer love of playing. That unbridled joy is where the elemental magic that animates ‘The Accidental’ is conjured.

Last night, music icon Mavis Staples returned to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's stage to perform “Human Mind” from her new album ‘Sad And Beautiful World’, out this Friday. Co-written by Hozier and Allison Russell with Mavis in mind.

STREAM 'HUMAN MIND'
‘Sad And Beautiful World’ is the latest solo album from a national treasure and multigenerational talent who stands side by side with us in the face of dangers she knows all too well, at a time when more and more people have reason to wonder who and what could be lost. Produced by Brad Cook, the record spans seven decades of the American songbook — a range nearly as vast as Mavis’ career — and includes reinventions of timeless songs as well as original music. “Human Mind” was the first track recorded, paying tribute to the complexity of life yet maintaining a faith in humanity: “Even in these days, I find / this far down the line, I find good in it sometimes,” Mavis contemplates. That magical last word — “sometimes” — shows her choosing hope, even with the disappointments that experience has brought.
It’s impossible to talk to Mavis’ collaborators without them bringing up the strength of her spirit and her generosity, growing animated over how much her songs mean to them. Russell described hearing the Staple Singers as a preteen and finding out that Mavis had played a key part in the civil rights movement as a young woman.
Upon being told that a verse from “Human Mind” she’d written (“I am the last, daddy, the last of us”) had made Mavis cry, Russell said she’d been deeply affected. “Mavis is the transcendent force of love embodied,” she said. “There is no higher honor than one of my biggest heroes being moved by words I wrote.”
Producer Brad Cook also tells stories about growing up listening to the Staple Singers. About seeing Mavis perform live, he said, “I remember being utterly floored by the conviction and power she had in her voice.”
To capture Mavis’ resonant phrasing and textured vocals, Cook tried to build every song around that voice. He began with spare skeleton recordings, just drum and piano, and focused on recording her vocals. Then he expanded the song from there, trying never to overshadow or undermine the framework she’d established. He imagined a record in the tradition of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s Will the Circle Be Unbroken, a group of artists coming together to celebrate community—in this case, one centred on Mavis.
Sad And Beautiful World shows that love is a choice and a force all its own. The album is a litany of prayer, of Mavis breathing life into these songs. “I just have to deliver the compassion I feel,” she says. “I want to share the song the way I feel it.”
The new album includes cameos by artists who have become part of Mavis’ world, many of whom are legends in their own right: Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, Jeff Tweedy, Derek Trucks, Katie Crutchfield, MJ Lenderman, Justin Vernon, and others shine a light on her, while Mavis does what only she can do. Embracing vulnerability, she sings close and deep here, drawing the listener into a circle filled with her unforgettable presence.

LAURA COX - BIOGRAPHY
Pioneer of the guitar on the internet, Laura has led the way for many young guitarists and is now at the forefront of the current landscape of guitarists in France and beyond. From bedroom recordings of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama” and the like, Laura uploaded the tracks on YouTube in 2008. She built a loyal following of half a million subscribers. Her re-interpretations of classic rock songs (that also feature her on the banjo, lap steel or bass) have reached more than 100 million viewers across the globe.
The multi-instrumentalist is one of the few artists who managed to break out of the virtual bubble and bring her musical highlighted life with her own band: After two albums released in 2017 and 2019 (Verycords/Warner) and having played the biggest, most prominent stages for rock music in France (Hellfest, Download Festival, Guitare en Scène, etc.), Laura Cox released her third studio album Head Above Water, which highlighted a more personal take and a solid grasp on all things rock.
Head Above Water saw Laura re-inventing herself while revealing new facets of her musical talent. Recorded at ICP studios in Brussels, and mastered by Ted Jensen (The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, etc.), Head Above Water rocked the boat. In her riffs and solos, Laura masters both flow and precision and her playing clearly shows that this woman knows how to take a guitar apart. Blending classic rock with bluegrass elements in an unparalleled ease, Laura Cox once again illustrates that she will remain a driving force in a new generation of rock guitarists in the years to come.
Now, with her new album Trouble Coming, released on Friday October 31, 2025, the best is yet to come. The new album features the singles “No Need To Try Harder,” title track single “Trouble Coming,” “Do I Have Your Attention,” and her latest single “The Broken.”

Brooklyn-London indie duo The King Canutes present 'Cars and Girls', the second taste of their debut album 'Eastern Seaboard, Perfect Summer', forthcoming via the Montclair, New Jersey-based Magic Door Record Label. Prefab Sprout aficionados will surely appreciate the cover homage to the band’s Steve McQueen masterpiece.
The King Canutes is Keir Woods (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), who brings a sonorous true folk voice of Northern England, while Richard Alwyn Fisher (vocals, backing vocals, electric and acoustic guitars) is the scrappy Replacements-style Midwesterner. The pair met in Brooklyn in the early 2000s in NYC’s cosmopolitan pop / indie rock scene and released their debut EP 'Last Callers and Losers' in 2008.
The duo used to perform this song for ‘The Love Hangover’ [an annual post-Valentine’s Day show]. This version blossoms into a smooth swaggering rock ride out. Woods' vocals evoke the wistfulness of the original version while Fisher's sinewy guitar lines break down the layers, then build back as a drum machine transitions to live drums by Kevin March of Guided by Voices.
“When we first began playing “Cars and Girls” live it was stripped back to the bare essence, in contrast to the Prefab Sprout very eighties classic. But over the years, and with the gifts of the studio, our version has become as layered and baroque as the original!,” says Keir Woods.
Richard Alwyn Fisher adds, “Prefab Sprout offered such a unique voice, and it was fun and satisfying to create a version that was both an homage and also a new and personal take on the song.”
The King Canutes make intelligent, skewed pop with echoes of early 80s-90s Australian and Scottish pop, British folk and Midwestern indie rock, all melted in the current cosmopolitan cauldrons of New York and London. Combining the dynamic tension of dual singer-songwriters, their music sites somewhere between The Go-Betweens and the long-distance, long-haul commitment of The Postal Service,
The duo recently released 'Seymour Stein (for Earle Holmes)', named for Earle Holmes, the club owner and friend who gave Keir his Paris bookings after moving from NYC. This song captures the elation of freedom and the frustration of starting the artistic journey again. This song is elevated by stellar horns by Mac Gollehon (David Bowie, Al Jarreau, Duran Duran, Mick Jagger), bassist Dave Derby (Dambuilders, Gramercy Arms, Lloyd Cole), and Jessie Kilguss on backing vocals.
Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by renowned producer Ray Ketchem (Guided by Voices, Luna, Elk City, Gramercy Arms) at Magic Door Recording Studio, this ambitious album involves world-class artists such as Kendall Meade (Sparklehorse, Mascott), Mike Dillon (Rickie Lee Jones), John Leon (Roky Erickson), David Nagler (Nova Social, Joan Baez, Aaron Neville), Doug McEachern (Suran Song in Stag), Renée LoBue (Elk City) and Verena Wiesendanger (Semi Gloss).
As of October 21, 'Cars and Girls' is out everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. The 'Eastern Seaboard, Perfect Summer' album, out on November 21st, is now available for pre-order.

MC50: 5 December, new Live album ‘10 MORE’.

earMUSIC proudly announces 10 MORE, the explosive new live album from MC50, out on December 5th, capturing the unrelenting energy of the 2018 world tour that reignited the spirit of one of rock’s most radical and influential bands.
The album – a companion piece to the 10 x MC5 record included in the bonus version of the 2024 MC5 Heavy Lifting release – is available for preorder via online retailers, and to presave now and on all major digital platforms.
Formed by MC5 founding member Wayne Kramer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kick Out the Jams, the MC50 lineup united an all-star ensemble of rock innovators – Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Billy Gould (Faith No More), Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam) and Marcus Durant (Zen Guerrilla) – carrying forward the revolutionary power that made MC5 a lightning rod for change in the late ’60s and ’70s.
Captured live during the 2018 anniversary tour, 10 MORE roars through MC5’s most iconic songs – including “The American Ruse,” “Call Me Animal,” “Rocket Reducer No. 62 (Rama Lama Fa-Fa-Fa),” “Looking at You”, and “Starship”. With recordings from live shows in Seattle, WA, Cincinnati, OH and Hamburg, Germany, the album spans tracks from all three original MC5 albums – Kick Out The Jams, Back In The USA and High Time, along with a cover of Ray Charles “I Believe To My Soul,” which was a staple of the band’s sets in the late 1960s. These performances recall the same urgency that once echoed through Detroit’s underground, where MC5 fused rock, free jazz and political protest into a sound that challenged America’s status quo.
Following the acclaimed 2024 MC5 studio album Heavy Lifting – produced by Bob Ezrin and released shortly before MC5’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – 10 MORE continues the story of one of rock’s most influential bands with a powerful live recording that celebrates their lasting impact and uncompromising spirit. Stay tuned, new music is coming before the full release in December.

NYC singer-songwriter Jessie Kilguss presents her latest single 'Howard Johnson's', previewing her sixth album 'They Have A Howard Johnson's There', with an era-inspired nostalgic video by Deborah Magocsi. This album was engineered, produced, mixed and mastered by Charlie Nieland (Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie, Scissor Sisters) at Saturation Point Studios in Brooklyn.
For this single, Kilguss is accompanied by John Kengla (David Byrne, Ben Kweller, Serena Ryder) on guitar, bass and keys, Rob Heath (Madison Square Gardeners, Julia Nunes) on drums and percussion, and Dave Derby (The Dambuilders, Gramercy Arms, Lloyd Cole) and Charlie Nieland on backing vocals. Other tracks on this album features Andrea Longato (Duncan Shiek, Jeremy Jordan, Alphonso Ribeiro), guitarist Kirk Schoenherr (Tegan and Sara, Elle King, Chet Faker), and Rembert Block (Rembert and the Basic Goodness).
"This song originated from some writing I did in a poetry workshop with performance artist Karen Finley. I had seen her read at the fantastic On The Verge Festival, which celebrates women artists of all disciplines at the Wild Project, produced and curated by my friend Heather Litteer. I was drawn to Karen's writing and saw a post of hers on Instagram advertising an online poetry workshop inspired by the movie 'Dog Day Afternoon', as well as dogs in general. I had never taken a poetry workshop before but I am a huge dog lover and thought "what the hell". I like pushing myself out of my comfort zone," says Jessie Kilguss.
"In the movie, Al Pacino is speaking with his lover about what he’ll do to prove his love and he says something like “I’ll charter a plane to Algeria. They have a Howard Johnson’s there”. It stood out to me because it was so ridiculous and also, my father Howard had passed away a month earlier. So the song is a tribute to my father, Howard Kilguss, and is also inspired by 'Dog Day Afternoon'. My father had a deep connection with dogs, so I thought it was even more appropriate to write this song for him".
This offering follows her single 'Too Far From Texas' (a collab with Jim Andralis), 'You're the One' and 'Wuthering Heights'. Kilguss' 2022 album 'What Do Whales Dream About at Night?' LP features drummer Brian Griffin (Patti Smith, Brandi Carlisle, Lana Del Rey), bassist Whynot Jansveld (The Wallflowers, Butch Walker, Sara Bareilles), composer-producer Naren Rauch, and Nathan Schram (Bjork, David Crosby, David Byrne), with whom Kilguss ran the non-profit organization Musicambia.
A former actress, whose acting highlights include 'The Crucible' (with Daniel Day Lewis and Winona Ryder) and the stage production 'As You Like It' (directed by Royal Shakespeare Company founder Sir Peter Hall), Kilguss made songwriting her focus after working with musical heroes Marianne Faithfull and Mary Margaret O'Hara in the Tom Waits / William Burroughs musical 'The Black Rider'.
Apart from writing and performing her own music, Kilguss sings with the Loser’s Lounge, Gramercy Arms, Jim Andralis and the Syntonics and Benjamin Cartel. She's also performed at the Sundance Film Festival and with Freddie Stevenson, touring as support for The Waterboys' European tour. In June 2025, Kilguss was an artist in residence at Fish Factory Creative Center in Stodvarfjordur, Iceland where she wrote 9 new songs.
'Howard Johnson's' is out now, available everywhere, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp with the full album to follow on November 14th. Kilguss performs next on September 23rd at New York's 11th Street Bar, together with Rembert Block and Erica Smith. On November 5, Kilguss' Record Release Show is at Berlin Under A, with Life in a Blender and Charlie Nieland, who marks the release of his 'Stories From The Borderlines' album.

New album by TORA DAA, Prayer and Pleasure, out 26th September.
Label: TORA DAA Music
Produced by Tora Dahle Aagård and Benjamin Giørtz
Focus Track: My Everything
On 26 September, Norwegian guitar pop sensation Tora Dahle Aagårdand her band TORA DAA will release their long-awaited fourth album Prayer and Pleasure. The album launch will be followed by an extensive tour across Norway and abroad. Celebrated for her catchy songwriting and timeless sound, her style draws comparisons to icons such as Prince, Michael Jackson and John Mayer. Tora and her band has earned acclaim for electrifying and powerful live performances, captivating audiences across Europe with her energetic stage presence.
Earlier this year, Tora was given the honour of composing a commissioned work for one of Norway’s most prestigious music festivals, Trondheim Jazzfest. The work was praised by the critics and subsequently described by the Festival Director as “the best in the festival’s history”. The compositions from the commission constitute the very core of the upcoming album:
“The album is called Prayer and Pleasure because it’s full of contrasts–just like life itself. I’m not religious but I think we all feel the need to ask for help sometimes. Life isn’t easy for all, but we all carry the hope that things will get better. At the same time, life is also filled with joy, delight, and beautiful women–pleasure. I didn’t choose to be a lesbian, but every day I choose to live a queer life. A life that breaks with societal norms. Alife where I can be myself fully every single day, and who ‘I’ am keeps changing. It’s a free life–and for me, freedom is pleasure. I’ve written lyrics about things I’ve never spoken about publicly before. It’s challenging, but it also feels very right.”–Tora comments on the album.
Compared to the previous album Seventeen, this record is rawer and more organic. Tora has chosen to keep several of the recording’s first takes of both vocals and guitar, adding that “I wanted to preserve the honest tones and words that come out the very first time you sing or play a song.”
In recent years, Tora and her band TORA DAA (pronounced “Tora Da”) have gained a strong foothold outside Norway, becoming an established name on the European music scene and continually captivating new audiences–this summer, they performed at one of Romania’s biggest music festivals. Tora is now preparing for the album launch, kicking off with an exclusive release concert in London on 28thSeptember, followed by a European tour in the Spring.
With three critically acclaimed albums and a Spellemann (Norwegian Grammy) nomination behind her, expectations are high as Tora once again shares new music. Audiences have come to expect solid musicianship and playful virtuosity in everything that carries her signature.
Tora’s unparalleled guitar prowess, combined with her charismatic stage presence, has earned rave reviews, position her and her band as a must-see on the global music scene. Grateful Web

Massimo Silverio - New album 'Surtùm' out on 10 October - Hear new track 'Zoja'

Massimo Silverio has announced the release of his new album 'Surtùm' on 10th October via Okum and has shared new single 'Zoja'.
Massimo Silverio stands as one of the most distinctive voices of the new Italian music scene, carving a unique niche within the independent landscape with an unconventional and avant-garde style, deeply rooted in the folklore of the mountainous region of Carnia, in the North East of Italy. As with his previous work, Surtùm is sung in Silverio’s native tongue, Carnic.
Zoja, the new single, means funeral wreath, an object and symbol that signifies a new end and a new beginning. He explains: "I have tried to sing for something, for life and for death. Zoja, for me, is a cycle that closes in a symbol".
LISTEN TO 'ZOJA' HERE
'Surtùm' arrives two years after 'Hrudja' (2023), the album that established Silverio as the Italian artist to watch in 2025. His unmistakable style blends folklore and songwriting in a daring mix that recalls the poetics and atmospheres of David Sylvian, Anna von Hausswolff, the monumental arrangements of Swans, and the electro-acoustic minimalism of Massive Attack’s Mezzanine.
Produced by Manuel Volpe, Surtùm was written by Silverio and arranged together with Nicolas Remondino and Volpe, his trusted collaborators on 'Hrudja'. The record features contributions from Mirko Cisillino (C’mon Tigre) on horn and tuba, Flavia Massimo (Teho Teardo) on cello, Benedetta Fabbri on violin, and Martin Mayers on alphorn. It represents a new step in the Friulian artist’s evolution, born of the deep musical bond developed with his trio over years of touring.
Massimo explains: “I asked myself: where does memory reside? This question led me to seek the point where the real and the metaphysical touch, where they meet. A place where I imagine every action, every gesture, deposits itself once its echo fades into silence. Perhaps the access to this place lies on our very skin, in landscapes, homes, woods, meadows or mountains – or wherever they come into contact with our hearts and souls.”
'Surtùm' is a journey of peace and grace, a slow descent into the darker nature of humankind. It is an album in which Silverio seeks to exorcise the violent and hateful times we live in.
“Especially in moments like these,” he reflects, “we must send messages of brotherhood – prayers that transcend all creeds and religions, except those of common humanity and love for nature. For those of us who live in the world’s more fortunate, less openly violent regions, the only true alternative left is to try to live (and die) with genuine meaning. To reweave the sense of existence. And we must keep faith in this search.”
In Carnic, Surtùm translates as “swamp” or “marshy meadow.” In the context of the album, it is a place where songs and prayers – our own or those of others – can settle. Silverio sums up the essence of the record in his own words: “While existence today seems to stagnate in a murky frenzy of sterility, a swamp is a place of both life and death: of transition, transformation, rebirth. A symbol of the threshold between reality and what lies beyond, between life and death, two worlds. I think of moisture as a fresh emanation of life, like the wind after heavy rain. I think of it as a sacred ‘place’ that is disappearing. And I wonder: is our ability to be clothed in memory also vanishing? Then I am left with one image: a song, a prayer that might rest upon things like frost. Like dew. Perhaps that’s why there is so much humidity in this record – from the spring (Avenâl), essence and soul of an awaited love flowing through the body of a tree, to the womb (Grim), a prayer to water to return as the womb of us all. All of us, none excluded.
There is also peat, murk, suffocation. Earth, moss, a flame burning amid the vapours, like vespers for this empty communication. The greed of the first (Prin) phenomenon, a solitary chant singing itself. A chant as a funeral garland (Zoja), a chant for those who are gone (Vàre), a chant for all those suffering (Ghirbe). A chant for this amputated world (Sorgjâl). When words are gone, only a mute book remains. When the book is consumed, what remains? When the living song, never written, is gone, what remains? A search, an attempt at contact with that place where our legacy might settle, transform, be reborn. One tries – even by letting go of control – but always hoping to leave at least a little good behind.”
ABOUT MASSIMO SILVERIO:
Massimo writes and sings primarily in his native language, Carnic—an ancient variant of the Friulian language. His music employs a deeply personal idiom made of poetry and sound, blending folk and art music, classical and contemporary, the tangible and the hidden. It conjures an imaginative world of places, souls and plants, faces and ancient rituals.
In 2023, Silverio released his debut album Hrudja on Okum Produzioni. The record was met with enthusiastic acclaim both in Italy and abroad, receiving coverage from Mojo, Clash, Rolling Stone, Rumore as well as airplay from Kevin Cole (KEXP), Iggy Pop (BBC6), Fip Radio France, and Radio Rai/Capital. Featured in numerous “Best of 2024” lists, Hrudjawas also shortlisted for the 2024 Targa Tenco Award as “Best Album in Dialect.” The Hrudja tour saw Silverio and his trio perform at major festivals and venues including Jazz Is Dead, Fias (Madrid), Locus Festival, No Borders, Import Export (Munich), Linecheck, Sopravento (curated by Colapesce and Dimartino), Opera Festival, and Paesaggi Sonori.

"‘Hrudja’ emerges as a testament to his ability to convey universal stories through the lens of a minority language, creating an experience that resonates beyond cultural boundaries” Electronica

British melodic rock legends FM are pleased to announce the release of “Don’t Call It Love,” the second single taken from their highly anticipated 15th studio album Brotherhood. Released Wednesday 6th August, the new single is a compelling rock anthem tailor-made for rock radio. Watch the official music video on YouTube HERE.
Released by Frontiers Music Srl on Friday 5 September, FM’s Brotherhood album is available to pre-save digitally, and pre-order on CD and vinyl from https://ffm.to/fmbrotherhood.
“Don't Call It Love is an up-tempo old-school AOR track with a very 80s feel,” says FM’s founding member and bassist, Merv Goldsworthy. “It was one of the last songs written and recorded for the Brotherhood album. It’s a definite candidate for the live set and rock radio.”
It’s no surprise that FM’s Brotherhood album continues to showcase their signature blend of hook-laden AOR and blues-tinged hard rock that solidifies their status as masters of the genre.
To promote Brotherhood, FM will tour the UK in September 2025 with 14 confirmed shows, followed by European dates in early 2026. Tickets are available from The Gig Cartel and FM’s official website.
Brotherhood showcases a band at the top of their game, with highlights including the infectious anthem "Living on the Run", the anthemic rocker “Don’t Call It Love”, the punchy and powerful "Coming For You", and the emotionally charged "Time Waits For No One" – all tracks that echo the spirit and melodic strength of FM’s early classics, while being unmistakably fresh and vibrant.
The opening track, "Do You Mean It", brings a bluesy, soulful vibe that echoes the Doobie Brothers’ classic “Takin’ It To The Streets” sound, setting the tone for the album. Brotherhood also features one of FM’s most powerful ballads to date, "Just Walk Away" – a beautifully emotional song that highlights the band's mastery of melodic rock. Wrapping up the album is "The Enemy Within", a track that introduces exciting new sonic ideas while retaining the powerful and melodic qualities FM fans love.
Supporting vocals from a female guest choir add warmth and dynamic depth to "Do You Mean It" and "Just Walk Away", perfectly complementing Steve Overland’s consistently exceptional lead vocals.
Formed in the 80's by the Overland brothers, FM are one of the UK's seminal and respected rock bands. The new album was recorded by FM’s long-standing and beloved line-up including founding members Steve Overland, Merv Goldsworthy, and Pete Jupp, alongside keyboard player Jem Davis and guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick.

"Stunning musical and, in particular, six-string intricacy... layers of lush, ringing, occasionally grimy and often heavily effected guitars" ~ Guitar World
"Guitarist Michael Ciravolo assembled an all-star cast for his moody hard-hitting album... Intense" ~ Rolling Stone
"Hauntingly heavy and beautiful" – LA Weekly
"A dream team of musicians, taking us on a sonic journey that blends haunting melodies with crushing riffs. Catchy hooks, superb melodicism" ~ The Spill Magazine
The ever-evolving, always revolving, world-wide entity known as Beauty In Chaos presents the latest offering from their latest album ‘Signs In The Heavens Reality Upside Down’, recently released via 33.3 Music Collective. 'Made Of Rain (Almost Acoustic)' features BIC alumni Ashton Nyte and Whitney Tai.
Based in Los Angeles, Beauty In Chaos formed in 2018 by guitarist Michael Ciravolo (formerly of Human Drama and Gene Loves Jezebel and current President of Schecter Guitars) with Grammy-nominated producer Michael Rozon (Ministry, Jarboe, Wayne Hussey, The Melvins), who also mixed and co-produced Ministry’s new ‘Squirrelly Years Revisited’ album.
In following with BIC's modus operandi, ‘Signs In The Heavens Reality Upside Down’ is a supersized 29-track Limited Edition double-CD, featuring re-envisioned versions of tracks from their fourth studio release, 'Dancing With Angels', in addition to two bonus tracks ('Children Of The Revolution' featuring Ministry’s Al Jourgensen and 'Open Your Eyes', paying homage to T.Rex / Marc Bolan and The Lords of the New Church, respectively).
“I absolutely love that we are able to create these ‘stripped-down’ versions of some of our songs, and more so, just how well these are received by our loyal BIC Family! The original version is very special and is probably my favorite song on ‘Dancing With Angels’, but there is also something really beautiful about this ‘almost acoustic’ version," says BIC curator Michael Ciravolo.
"Ashton and Whitney’s ‘duet’ is simply stunning, their voices totally complimenting each other. I love the track’s minimalistic approach, highlighted by Michael Rozon’s haunting pedal steel and BIC newcomer Heather Lockie’s tasteful violin. Tish’s rock-solid acoustic bass and my quasi ‘pink floyd’ inspired guitar lines support, without distracting, letting Ashton’s words and melody take the starring role!”
This new stunning rendition offers a delicate and emotional take on the song’s original version (the closing track on 'Dancing With Angels'). Directed by Vicente Cordero (Industrialism Films), the warm endearing video was filmed by Fernando Cordero and edited by Ryan Conlon. Michael Ciravolo shares “As always, we strive to make the new video drastically different from its predecessor, and the simple ‘lounge’ setting seemed fitting for this intimate track, certainly a polar opposite to the bombastic sonic and visual overload of “Hollow”, and as usual, Vicente helped bring this vision to life!”
"'Made Of Rain' is a song of hope. It is about getting up and trying again despite the scars life can leave. This "almost acoustic version" is very dear to me. I love the organic elements present: the pedal steel, violin, and, of course, Whitney Tai's beautiful, ethereal voice elevate this piece, making it something transcendental. Similarly, the video shoot was an almost spiritual experience. A celebration of friends and art. What more can you ask for?” asks Ashton Nyte of The Awakening, who will soon tour Europe in support of the band's self-titled album.
“Made Of Rain” is a warm amber glow in a velveteen speakeasy where tales of folk and longing send a message from the beyond. There’s a wisdom and a patience in Ashton’s voice. His lyrics swarmed in the magic of Beauty In Chaos’ production for the acoustic version hits different. Doing this duet with Ashton is a dream, as he is someone with the vocal tenacity of the wisest tree in the forest. Together, it felt like we planted wildflowers in a gentle field. What made this collab special for me apart from the music is the friendship that Michael, Ashton and I share. We are family and making art with feeling is at the forefront of our passions," says Whitney Tai, who appears on many BIC tracks. Her latest single 'Slumber Party' is out now, previewing her third full-length album 'American Wasteland' (out in September).
Beauty In Chaos also recently shared ‘Hollow’ (Crimson Cupid Mix)’ featuring Cynthia Isabella (of Silence In The Snow and Lost Gems). Past BIC releases involve members of The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, The Offspring, Gene Loves Jezebel, Marilyn Manson, Human Drama, Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, Van Halen, A Flock of Seagulls, dUg Pinnick, ICE-T, Rolan Bolan, and Zakk Wylde.
'Signs In The Heavens Reality Upside Down' is out now, available as a Limited Edition Double CD from the Beauty In Chaos store, on CD and and also digitally – get it from the Beauty In Chaos store or on Bandcamp.

John McLaughlin makes his return with “Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2022”.
This essential live album beautifully captures the seamless synergy between John and his longtime band The 4th Dimension on audio and HD video.
On July 11th, 2022, John returned to the Montreux Jazz Festival with The 4th Dimension and award-winning special guest Jany McPherson on piano and vocals. Delivering a masterclass in fusion to the audience of Stravinski Auditorium. Performing favorites such as 'New Blues Old Bruise', 'El Hombre Que Sabia,' as well as Pharoah Sanders’ 'The Creator Has a Master Plan.'
John’s history with the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival spans 52 years as a headlining artist and sometime guest performer. Those who couldn't be there now have the chance to see what they missed. Those who had the honor of being there can relive this monumental performance, available as a Blu-ray+2CD Digipak, 2 LP Gatefold and digital download on August 8th, 2025 worldwide via earMUSIC.
“I've said it many times before - The MJF is the greatest Festival in the world. Having played there since 1971, I'm in a good position to make that statement. The night of this particular recording was no exception and we musicians rose to the occasion. This performance is outstanding for all of us. There was joy, virtuosity, and a fantastic collective experience...“ -John McLaughlin
"Abbaji" by John McLaughlin is a deeply emotional and nostalgic piece, dedicated to the tabla maestro Alla Rakha, also known as "Abbaji." The song is a heartfelt tribute, reflecting McLaughlin's profound respect and admiration for Alla Rakha's contributions to music and his personal influence on McLaughlin's musical journey. The track's meditative atmosphere and rhythms bring a deep sense of nostalgia, making it the perfect first single to commemorate John's 2022 Montreux Jazz Festival performance.
John McLaughlin revolutionized jazz, bringing a fusion of world music, jazz, and blues to the mainstream with his Mahavishnu Orchestra and recordings with Santana and The Rolling Stones as well as his groundbreaking “Live in San Francisco” albums with Ali Di Meola and Paco de Lucia.

Ally’s October 2025 UK tour follows her sixth studio album Money & Power released by Ruf Records on April 18th. The album is available on vinyl, CD and digital HERE.
Watch the official music video for the title track single "Money & Power."
“Money & Power is such a strong statement, especially for women,” says the award-winning Texas gunslinger of her Nashville-recorded album, on which Ally’s crack-squad band is joined by A-lister guests Shemekia Copeland and Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram.
“All the songs on this album showcase the theme of what it truly means to be a force to be reckoned with. I want this record to wake people up,” continues Ally.
Money and power make the world go round. But in the right hands, music can be every bit as potent. Right now, on the heels of 2023’s acclaimed Real Gone – an album that hit #1 on the Billboard Blues Charts and was still in contention a year later – Ally is rated amongst the best young singer-songwriters in American roots, saluted by Total Guitar magazine in its poll of Top 100 Blues Guitarists.
“With her heels, sequins and Les Paul growling on a leash, she’s one of Ruf’s most head-turning young artists,” wrote Classic Rock, “and while the instrumental prowess can be taken as read, Real Gone marks a growing maturity in the Texan’s songcraft.”
In February 2024, with the dust still settling from Real Gone, the Money & Power sessions saw Ally and producer/drummer Tom Hambridge push through the doors of Nashville’s famous Soundstage Studios. And while the studio band was strictly A-list, as always, Ally’s new songs are the real stars. That attitude is palpable on opener “Brown Liquor,” Ally’s battlecry decorated by a stinging guest guitar solo from the Mississippi hotshot Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram.
“Money & Power shouts to the masses,” she explains, “that women are not to be doubted in their ability to thrive in the world.”
Vital right to the end, Money & Power plays out with “Stepping Stone’s” earthy roar of empowerment, the shuddering, spooky, tremolo-soaked groove of “Feel That Sting,” and the dust-blown rocker “Unbreakable,” where Ally goes toe-to-toe with New York powerhouse Shemekia Copeland.
“That song spreads a message of women that have been oppressed,” she says, “to rise to the occasion and break above it all.”
Money & Power is a modern roots record that plays by its own rules and marches to the beat of its own drum. The same could be said for Ally herself. “I’m thrilled to release this album,” she says. “For me, it’s a sonic embodiment of a woman’s unstoppable ambition, and showcases my musicality on all fronts. I’m looking forward to seeing where this one will take me.”
